  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

The solid state battery is expected to be out in about 4 years, so if Scout doesn't adopt it, the lithium battery price should drop significantly. Otherwise, this vehicle will be worthless before its even delivered.
This is a point I keep coming back around to. Also SM hasn't given battery details which keeps the door open for different battery types as time progresses.

I reserved the Traveler w/ Harvester. I think this is the perfect EV and what all EVs should be like because range anxiety is a real concern for a lot of people including myself and is what has kept me away from purchasing one until now. I can’t wait to spec it out.

Currently, have a Terra + Harvester reserved but keep considering the Traveler.

I’m hoping Scout is flexible on bouncing between models until we have a good look at configuration options and pricing.

Please don’t do us like Ford and the Lightning!

SM already noted you could change model at time of order conversion Gives you two years to flip flop back and forth 🤣

I'm intrigued to see the high-verging-on-dominant take rate for the Harvester version of each model; and would love to see a geographic representation showing what model types are popular where. I assume the range extender option is very attractive if you live somewhere where you regularly have to drive large distances -- with the Harvester onboard, one could potentially do Chicago to Nashville in a single shot -- but maybe there are other factors I'm not considering. I'm in the Northeast, where you can almost literally get from anywhere to anywhere in less than 350 miles; but the fact that Scout is offering an EV product that serves customers virtually anywhere in the U.S. is another reason I already love this company.

I reserved both and I might actually go through with both. I have a Lightning now for work (contractor) and I love it. Really hope the Terra can replace it as my work truck, if not I'll get another Lightning (maybe) and the Traveler for sure.

Reserved the Traveler Harvester. This is the first consumer BEV that will legitimately be capable of towing another vehicle a reasonable distance. My weekend toy is an old highly modified Jeep Wrangler and it gets trailered to and from the trails. I currently trailer it with my other Jeep, a Grand Cherokee Hemi Trailhawk, which the Traveler Harvester will replace.

The Traveler Harvester was the obvious choice for me, until I saw the fine print about the battery being significantly smaller, which changed my selection to the pure EV. I would have preferred to have given up payload instead of battery size to accommodate the Harvester.
