Welcome and Introductions!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Hi all, new to the forums but not new to Scouts. My dad had them growing up, I had this one for several years and now reserved a new Traveler.

I don't believe this has been asked yet in any of the threads but when and where will we be able to see the Traveller and Terra in person? Is there going to be a "world tour" so those who weren't at the revealing event will be able to see and touch them in person?

Great question, and I wonder where Scout dealerships will be built.

Gas+electric Traveler reserved today. I am a refugee from the Rivian process. Such a long sad, frustrating story for me with Rivian. I literally grew up with people that work at Rivian today. Got a very early reservation. Proceeded to watch literally everyone else in the country get their allocation while I sat patiently in North Carolina for 3 years - waiting for the official word. It did finally come after 3+ years. They offered me a decent discount on a new Rivian that expired on 9/30. I didn't bite on their offer. I have a really, really bitter taste in my mouth about how they strung me along with a variety of half-truths and denials as to why I did not get an allocation sooner. Still don't know the truth but really don't care at this point. I am done with Rivian. Still own some of their stock, but will probably sell that soon. BTW, I LOVE the idea of the gas+electric power train with the Scout products.

Hey all, registered a while back, finally posted up the “greetings” post here today along with a shiny new reservation on the Terra.
I’m intrigued and excited to see this all unfold!
I was impressed with the vibe of the reveal from both the CEO and design team lead.
I’m from rural NC, up near the mountains and frequently lead trail rides in Uwharrie (maybe Scout will venture up and host an event/ have an inaugural and repeated event there to show some off-road prowess??).
I own a ‘21 Bronco Badlands with a host of upgrades, have owned a handful of Jeeps in my day.
I’m a Plant Manager at a manufacturing facility full-time, a custom paint/restoration hobbyist in my free time.
Father to 5 amazing kids (now all young adults forging their own paths), have had the opportunity to take some of them to some pretty epic places prior to their leaving home.
I look forward to continued adventures that hopefully incorporate a Scout once the time comes.
Glad to be here, glad to meet you all and learn all I can in the process!
Welcome aboard. Check out the collaboration of many thoughts over the past 1.96 years 😀

Dig around some of the recent threads in regard to reveal topics and you should find some thoughts. They are intending some touring but no dates or locations nailed down yet beyond events like harvester events

Reserved a Traveler + Harvester last night. I live in Colorado Springs, and am an avid outdoorsman with my family. We have a beloved 2017 Land Rover Discovery HSE Td6 that is our Sherpa - road trips, deep way back trail access, offroading, a tank in winter for getting to the ski areas...plenty of space. I can't imagine replacing it, but the Scout Traveler has captured my attention. I would prefer a diesel REX motor for even more range, but at least it has a series REX setup. Looking forward to giving one a try to see if my deposit turns into a purchase commitment.

I also have a 2024 Polestar 2 LRDM Pilot/Plus as my daily, and my wife drives a 2022 Volvo XC60 B5 Inscription. Polestar's online ordering, lease, and delivery process was the easiest and most pleasant car dealer experience ever.

Looking forward to more on these new Scouts as they move toward production. I research car purchases obsessively, and will be paying attention to the major auto magazine reviews and experiences here.

No dealerships, at least not in the current planning. You can go on line and place a deposit now. The plan seems to be for most of the support to be done remotely, as Scott Keogh outlined in the presentation. I think they'll be working out all those details in the two years it takes to build the plant.

Howdy Y’all!

Just made my reservation for my Electric/Gas Traveler today and couldn’t be more excited. I personally never saw myself owning a EV or even entertaining the idea, but can’t wait to wheel it around at the Ranch and wherever the trail leads! Scout Motors has it right and sold me on the Electric-Gas Harvester package, best of both worlds!

A bit about me, I’m also an avid GMT400 member and dabble as a IH8MUD member.(IYKYK)
I’m also a firm believer in “if you are gonna use it, abuse it!” So you will definitely see me put my Traveler to the test!

See y’all out there!

Brand new to the EV movement and Scout to be honest. I always liked the Scout from afar, but no experience with the nameplate. Always figured I’d be the last person to look at an EV. I have nothing against EV’s, just never figured I’d entertain the idea of owning one (I still want to experience a 0-60 run in a Lucid Air, but don’t want one). Currently drive a gas guzzling pig Ram TRX, so yeah, not exactly an EV guy. That said, I watched the Scout reveal and was really impressed with the details. After seeing the Harvester option on the Traveler, I had to make a reservation. There’s just something about the Scout that excited me like the idea of a 700hp Hellcat Motor in a full size truck!

Hello from the land of maple syrup! I've been a huge car nut basically my entire life and have owned way more cars then I probably should have haha. Been a huge fan of Jeeps and Broncos for the longest time, and absolutely just fell head over heals with the new Traveler design. I feel that it takes all I love from the new Bronco and molds in into something that is perfect in every way. The range extender option is what sealed the deal for me as I think this is the perfect combination of the two techs.

I'm from the Ottawa Ontario region and I'm looking forward to any other canucks that are taking the plunge with me, and I cant wait to make the guys in the off road club jealous when I pull up haha.
