Summer Reveal

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
We are exploring a lot of different options. Obviously, it is really hard to do an event when you don't know how many people might show up (size, venue, security, etc., etc.). We want our community to be part of it and we are looking at different ways to do that. Also, we will be touring the vehicles around the country after reveal, so there should be opportunities to see them in different places. Stay tuned...

Can first stop be Chesapeake area so there is a water background? I’m cool driving south from Lancaster since I know there are a few Marylanders on here

I have tried to keep up, but I probably have failed miserably. I have heard that the factory groundbreaking has happened, but I can only assume it will take a while to get it built and the machinery installed. Which leads to the second assumption that any reveal this year would be from a concept vehicle shop.

Near production concept. Meaning most of what you see will be the same as the production model. But there may be details on the concept that don't make it, or might change slightly with tweaks. Factory construction is moving along with the first concrete footings and foundations going in two weeks ago. We should have regular updates starting this week on a monthly basis (or when a major milestone happens). We will show both the SUV and pickup truck late summer and those vehicles will be touring after that to numerous events and cities. We will also start talking about our technology platform and various capabilities. Our first mules will be built later this year and as we get closer to production, pre-production cars will start testing as well. So between now and production at end of 2026 there will be LOTS to talk about, explore and experience.

We can't wait to finally be able to show what our teams have been working on. The designs look great and uniquely Scout.

Looking forward to it Jamie! This is an exciting adventure for those who have been apart of the process and will continue to be until the end. From the announcement of Scout, to the early renderings, manufacturing ground breaking and now speculation(s) to soon to be reveal. Hope we'll see more teasers to distract us until the actual reveal occurs.

The reveal will be late summer, so after both Nationals and Harvester Homecoming this year. But 2025 it is a definite possibility.

Had a thought on the national tour you mentioned Jamie (just remember who suggested this 😉)

Recently a guy in Lancaster County rented a new Cyber truck and drove it around towing an Amish buggy. Was a great idea and the whole contrast of electric technology vs Amish simplicity was entertaining. The past few weeks he sent photos (like real, printed photos-it had to cost a fortune) and plugged his business planning company. The irony is he never tied a story to it-just a publicity stunt.

What if forum members from around the country were randomly selected to represent different regions and visually show the Scout in daily activities.
You meet up with them for a weekend or a two-three day period. Day one they get to ride along (or drive if the team is open to that) and you drive their region or maybe the state if you really want to showcase America and learn about their city/town/region see some tourist locations, natural beauty or breweries and wineries etc… and a film crew records the adventure. Then day two your team pre-plans an adventure day based on showing Scout capability and/or “adventure” location say driving on the beach, logging trail, mountainside lake, football tailgating (I’m a PSU alum so I could imagine a tailgate experience) or even driving in LA traffic with a west coast sunset 😀. Then you build the story of the Scout fan, their region and their adventure then post that as part of a year long story series on the community page.
That gets you buyer feedback during real time driving, helps build the community story and helps spread word of mouth from the scout fan as well as the general community that experiences the vehicle during the multi-day experience.
I also think you could bring different exterior colors per region to complement the regions natural environment and then we’d all get to see the colors out in the real world during the lead up to production.
Ford sent a lot of gimmicks leading up to ramping up production of the Bronco and that was cool but I feel like they didn’t retell their story and I think that is a big thing for Scout Motors.
Just a thought.

Well, I'd be happy to get the scout transported to SC for the opening OR be at something in WA/OR. It's a frame off restored 1973 Scout 2 with a Dark Green exterior and Russet interior, 2.5" lift and 33x10.5 BFG tires on Mickey Thompson Aluminum wheels. Might be a nice connect and contrast to the new one you're revealing. :)
