Say hello to the new Scout® Terra™ Truck and Scout® Traveler™ SUV

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I had a feeling it was going to be a great day and believed that Scout was going to get it right. They did. It motivated me to get some work done on my '70 SR2 Project. Great motivator, thanks scout for giving me a great hobby!
Thanks for keeping the Scout spirit alive and well. Awesome Sr2, can't wait to see it restored. Race us to the finishline?

Enjoyed the reveal, would have like to hear and see a little more.
Overall designs looked good, the skid pan at the front in silver was too much for me, I would change colour or change out.

Who watched the live Scout Reveal? What are your thoughts on the new Scout Traveler and Scout Terra?
I did! My reservation is in. Pure EV Traveler because I definitely don't want to have to deal with the hassles of a gas engine for the next 30 years. 560-odd kms is plenty of pure EV range.

Love the trucks! They look amazing. They're pretty much everything I was hoping they would be except for the charge port placement. Driver's side rear is pretty much the worst place for that. It's something Tesla got very wrong so hopefully it can be moved to the passenger side in the production version.

Reserved mine but I really need a light/sky blue & ability to add a white top and white striping! Trying to recreate my 1st car, my dad’s 1978 Scout II. Cater to us ladies who are toting our kids around but want something cooler than a mini van. This will be my convertible 😀
This is the color scheme I want. The one I learned to drive on. For some reason I always thought of those stripes as a chief motif. Maybe because I drive a Rubi today and hear that in that community. My dad’s scout IIs were the best!!

What's the issue with rear drivers side charge port placement?

The 18” wheel option looks delish.

Great job! Loved the classic design call backs, range extender generator, projected capabilities. Reserved my traveler! I live <2 miles from the Blythewood, SC plant. How early can I camp out at the end of the assembly line? 😬. Factory delivery option???

Would love to know the bed width between the wheel wells for the Scout Terra. It is the truck I want (with the range extender) in basically every imaginable way, except I can't tell for sure if it can fit plywood (4 ft wide) between the wheel wells in the bed. I assume so given the full sized bed claims, but the only thing I can find is the 5.5 ft length measurement.

Would also love to know, will there be any sort of tie in/clamp points on the tops off the bed walls for attachments like bike racks, elevated racks, etc? I would love to add a truck camper over the bed (like a wedge style) and having some attachment points on the top of the bed wall for the camper to latch to. Something similar to the mount points on the R1T would be great in this way.

And I can't say this enough, I absolutely LOVE the design of the truck from the exterior to the interior with real buttons. I can't wait to see it in person.
