Say hello to the new Scout® Terra™ Truck and Scout® Traveler™ SUV

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Reserved mine but I really need a light/sky blue & ability to add a white top and white striping! Trying to recreate my 1st car, my dad’s 1978 Scout II. Cater to us ladies who are toting our kids around but want something cooler than a mini van. This will be my convertible 😀
we need soooo many more colors! The Scouts weren't dour angry cars! They were kinda-goofy tough cars that could do anything and have a blast while they did it

Who watched the live Scout Reveal? What are your thoughts on the new Scout Traveler and Scout Terra?
Reserved a Traveler +Harvester!

With my family of 6, seating capacity had to be met. Glad to see the bench seat option. I suggest looking into a fold down third row like the VW Atlas, it’s great, but… if my wife will sit in the middle of the bench all the time I’ll take the bench!!! lol

It looks very clean! I anticipated it to be a bit more boxier and I’d be fine if it was, especially towards the rear. The front facing view and stance is great. Well done! Interior is amazing. Wife loves the large sunroof / open top feel.

Will it allow flat towing behind RV? Regen function? ;-).

Congratulations Scout team!

I missed the live roll out but looking over the website on day one leaves much to be desired. The overall design is about what I expected, very similar to a Jeep Cherokee or Ford Bronco (the key difference here being all electric) but the website is all fluff and no substance. Interior design options are nil, what we do get is a very bland overview of a very uninteresting cabin. I'm not looking for unicorns to be popping out of the seats or anything but a little pop or pizzaz wouldn't hurt. I'm hoping for more details on interior design options in the coming months. I'd love to see a plaid interior (not kidding), most people would think that's ugly but it is interesting and distinct. Mostly what I am seeing here is a plain design geared toward the masses. I get it, the plan is to sell as many as possible but it's rather uninspired. Criticism aside, I did reserve a Traveler, we will see where all this goes.

Reserved a Traveler with the Harvester range extender. Patiently waiting to see interior options, usually prefer an all black, dark option. Ford messed this up on the bronco. The cabana roof remind me of the jeep one touch sky top, miss that on an SUV.

I was hoping for a pop off as well but I’ll take it. It’s still a huge open area and with windows down, plenty of wind. My dogs will love the bench seat. I’ll love the premium audio, which I’m sure I can get factory add on. 🤣
I won't confirm or deny that we possibly consulted multiple dogs on the interior design... 🤣

Really, fantastic job. Hit so many of the "must-haves" from the legacy Scout community. I know removable top was a big one, but the cabana top I think is a great option, and I read that possibly a glass panoramic roof will be available?

I called my kids in for the reveal and they both were blown away at how great they looked. "Are we really going to get one?" they asked.

Reserved an electric-only traveler, I don't have need for more than 300+ miles of range, but I love the option of the range extender. I am hoping for some fun retro color/interior options!

Great work Scout Motors team!

It was a great presentation today that delivered just about everything that it needed to. Congratulations to everyone who worked on getting Scout to this point. The vehicles look amazing. I put down a reservation for a Traveler Harvester
Thanks so much! We can't wait to see where your Traveler takes you, thanks for putting your trust in us!

Your feedback means alot, reminder that these are our concept vehicles, so more details to come as we finalize design. Truly heart warming response, especially from the heritage Scout owners out there like yourself. Congrats on your reservation! Bonus points go to your young Scouts, start em young. Love it.
