Say hello to the new Scout® Terra™ Truck and Scout® Traveler™ SUV

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Who watched the live Scout Reveal? What are your thoughts on the new Scout Traveler and Scout Terra?
I loved the designs. I especially like the back of the Traveler with the spare tire pulling away to reveal a tailgate. Also love the bench seat concept which gave me real nostalgia for another decade. Curious if we'll get to adjust the range extender option based on pricing/more details closer to 2027 (i.e., switching between EV and range extend when we place the order with actual prices). Excited!

I dig the vibe and what sold me was the generator option for more range. I reserved one, decision was made right after the specs on options to add the generator option. Sold. They captured the look and feel, definitely did their homework on the original.
This means alot, truly, coming from an original Scout owner like yourself. I have to say, the range extender and factory lockers are a couple of my favorite details.

I applaud Scout Motors on their modern version of the International Scout. They have graciously given design nods and names to previous scout models in a respectable way. I am also pleased by the lack of any VW branding, truly making it a Scout Motors vehicle.
The Harvester range extender is an awesome feature and possibly the tilting point to get me to order one. Can’t wait to read all of the specs on it.
As an owner of a 1964 Scout 80, thank you and look forward to a great looking vehicle.

Glad we hit the nostalgia nail on the head with you! We took as many design cues as possible from the original Scouts. More details to come soon!

Reserved!
Here is hoping for locations in the PNW! Can't imagine skipping out on the Seattle market, but I know first hand the direct to market brands are a struggle with the laws here. Put your sales in Portland and your Service near Seattle and you should be good!

Love the headlights, buttons, overall look. Not excited about the price. I assume there’s an option for a hard top on the traveler? Ragtop might get a bit noisy, and can imagine some issues in inclement weather. Closest thing to a removable top, though which is appreciated.
Also, glad it has a spare, but is it possible to remove it and the swing arm when you don’t need it? I might have difficulty getting it in my garage with the spare.
So far so good. Hopefully market will pick up again by the time y’all start shipping these.

This is what we like to hear, thank you!

I remember reserving a bronco and waiting till 2023 for mine to come. But after the announcement of Scout, I went back and forth on taking delivery. Ultimately, I let it go and decided to wait for the Scout. I do NOT regret waiting. The off-road tech - lockers, sway bar disconnect, ability to upgrade the tires were enough to get me excited. But that range extender sold me. You guys just tackled “range anxiety” in an EV for me. Traveler reserved.

Reserved mine but I really need a light/sky blue & ability to add a white top and white striping! Trying to recreate my 1st car, my dad’s 1978 Scout II. Cater to us ladies who are toting our kids around but want something cooler than a mini van. This will be my convertible 😀
A new Scout Era has arrived. Head to ScoutMotors.com to reserve yours today.
