New Scout Trucks To Be Revealed October 24, 2024

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I really hope it isn't a white SUV - I know that was all we could see in the video but white is soooo boring and doesn't seem to go with the image they have been trying to present. White isn't a playful, rough-and-tumble, retro/modern color. To me, it is the color of a car that is bought by the hundreds by corporations as company cars. I know a lot of people like them though so maybe that is what it will be - we will see!

Now if it is white with Rallye stripes on it to make it match the feel we've been getting - that would be cool!

I like, that... Red with Black roof would be very cool. Gun metal gray truck would be great too... Love both of those. I highly doubt we see white for either.

Hope we don't see white for either, but I feel like they'd reuse the SUV in the video for the reveal at least somewhat

The white was primer in the video. I already hinted at what one of the colors would be. :D

Also, I'm on the ground in Nashville and things are starting to ramp up!
Awesome, I'm not very good with reading between the lines but ai think I got this one!

Ads are running at Nashville airport and on area billboards. Likewise around Detroit and Columbia, South Carolina.

Short overhang on the front of the SUV, should make for good approach angles, not too sure about departure angles-we'll see Thursday!

This forum is not affiliated with any other forum. This forum is run by Scout Motors, the company that is bringing the new Scout to the market. So you get to talk to actual Scout employees like me. :D

Unfortunately that would be impossible as we couldn't accommodate everyone from a numbers, venue and security standpoint. However we are working on a video solution.
"YouTube LIVE" event... easy.

Jamie, would there be a half top available for the shorter wheelbase Scout for those that don't need the longer box or want the longer wheel base? Similar to this modified Jeep Cherokee:
stop talking JEEP!!!

To me I get depressed every time I read SUV. There are so many SUV's on the market - all but a very few of the supposed "offroad" SUV's are all just another SUV - another boring people mover, never really intended to go offroad, just grocery getters. They are effectively the modern station wagon with a status upgrade. Right now my list of modern ones that I might happen to see offroad are the Wrangler, Bronco, and 4Runner. The rest simply bore me. Those people should just swallow their pride (and pride is the only thing driving that market) and get a car.

Getting very excited for the reveal, specifically for the pickup. Has there been any dialogue about base or entry-level models for use by fire departments, police and other safety-critical services?

Never seriously considered the Rivian R1T due to cost, bed size and target demographics. I'm hoping the Scout pickup will offer a model appropriate to the services described above.

Considering it's a full sized pickup competing with the Silverado and F150 bed size and target demographics should be more inclusive of you than the Rivian.

I feel like someone else asked about safety-critical services before but also don't think we got an answer from a Scout employee (not sure that discussion warranted a response tbh). I'm guessing it'll fit those services as much as a Silverado or F150. Most of the cop cars around me are Ford Explorers so I guess the REV could take its place. I would presume speed, efficiency, "off-road capabilities" of a Ford Explorer will be beat by the REV.

REV: Rugged Electric Vehicle
Scout, anything less is just a SUV

Custom Jeep was just to give an idea of 4 door SUV with half cab and short box. Removable doors and top would be cool!

The only photo we've seen so far (copied below for reference) suggests an approach angle similar to a minivan. The front bumper looks to be about 6'' off the ground. I'm not clowning or trolling, just wondering if maybe I've overlooked something in the photo below.
