Decoding Reservation Numbers

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Traveler Harvester at 5:24 PM ET today (10/25/24).

EDIT: I will make a suggestion. Please add your general location in your posts. That might be part of the sequencing. I am in central North Carolina and SC some of the time too.

EDIT II: I see I am a lower number than many, despite reserving today. Based on my non-existent research I am almost 100% certain that is a good thing! LOL

Howdy folks and happy Scout day!

Many of us are excited and quickly reserved the new vehicles, however we received a long reservation number that doesn't clearly show our "true number" in line. My number for example is in the #64550572X and I reserved a Traveler + Gas about an hour after reveal. Typically, companies obfuscate the reservation numbers, as to hide the "true numbers" (large or small) from the world. However, if we all come together, we can compare numbers and get a rough idea of our place in line!

Example: Tesla folks did this too!

We need to decipher this together, so please join in! We don't know if reservation numbers are unique to the model selected and/or the engine type, so when adding info, please provide:

1. Your reservation number -- Maybe hide the last digit for some form privacy?
2. The model AND engine type you selected
3. Roughly when you made your reservation
Reservation # 9243582818
Traveler plus gas as well

Sooooo....I re-watched the reveal videos again. It made me do a thing. ;) I now hold a reservation for a Terra + Harvester now too. Suck it Rivian! 🤣 Guess what? My later Terra reservation has a LOWER number than my Traveler, but they BOTH start with a "2".

Reiterating this:

I will tell you all-Jamie told us they are randomizing. They don’t want an issue like Bronco had and 10 minute after reservations taking two years due to constraint or certain build schedules. They are avoiding this to keep everyone happy but if you have a magic cipher you may get something figured out 🤣
In the long run we will all be happier!

Continue to speculate for fun but the numbers mean nothing right now 🤣

I’m speculating a bit here as it wasn’t confirmed or stated but near the end of the first year of forum @Jamie@ScoutMotors told everyone to register on forum by year’s end because it would be a benefit. Reading between lines I assumed that to mean early order “privilege” if that’s the case there will be a LOT of reservations moving up even before general forum members. Again, my speculation but that’s another reason the reservation #’s are random.
Still nice knowing we should all have new scouts within the first 6mo the to end of year one 😀

I'm so sad I missed out on the 1st year group. I heard about the Scouts and had been telling everyone and was super excited about it way before I found this group. If I had seen the site I'd have been right here with you guys! It has been a wonderful group to hang around with

As long as you joined the forum before October 24, 2024, and used the same email, you’re prioritized.

Scout sent an email regarding this! Forum members who joined prior to October 24, will be prioritized.

The benefit might just be that you get a little badge next to your name that says “1st Year Member.”

I’m sticking with the FAQ, and the email, that Scout put out.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble. The numbers are completely random. But if you want to try and find patterns, go for it!
HAW HAW

I waited until today—which is my late dad’s birthday—to make my Terra + Harvester reservation. My reservation number includes angel number 777 which Google says is “a loving hug or wink from the universe” so that clearly means someone other than me is paying for this, yaaaay.
