Very interested in factory delivery. Would make the buying experience an actual enjoyable experience.
I’m right by Penn State and actually picked up a E92 earlier this summer from Bethlehem. Not a convertible but drove her all the way home with the windows down and music up.I’m in Lancaster. Where you at?
I did exactly this with a BMW convertible in 2012. Was an awesome experience. Top down the whole way home-was frozen until I got home (42 degrees) but I did it and such a great experience
But you’ll miss out on the off road course and plant tourLove the idea of factory tours and factory delivery, any thoughts of an option to take delivery at the Novi R&D center? I am 4 miles away and that drive seems much more palpable than the drive to SC and back.
I grew up in Belleville and went to PSU. You’re in a great area.I’m right by Penn State and actually picked up a E92 earlier this summer from Bethlehem. Not a convertible but drove her all the way home with the windows down and music up.
Small World! But you’ll miss out on the off road course and plant tour

Not sure of age but moved the year before Kishacoquillas HS merged with the other district. Lots of memories in that neck of the woods. I’m not sure I could do that mountain everyday. Would love to see what that does for the battery. I know it’s not a huge mountain but that grade approach is just tough-though the views are great. I’ll be up early January for a PSU hockey game.Small World!
I’m located right off the Reedsville/Belleville exit and travel the Seven Mountains everyday for work.
A Mebanite! I used to live there. Also lived in Charlotte and surrounding areas and still have family there so I could absolutely make an excuse for a factory pickup.I will head in from Mebane - not that much farther than Charlotte!
While not as far as you (2,400 miles), I’m having the same thoughts. Time of delivery will play a factor. Cutting across the country in the middle of winter wouldn’t be very fun.I can see how this would be fun, and am glad it exists.
I just checked, and it’s about 2900miles one way for me. Im no stranger to long road trips, but yikes. Sounds like I’ll be taking the delivery option.
Come on down! The only other time in my life that I’ve been to South Carolina (to the best of my recollection) was while we drove to/from Texas when I was a kid. Google Maps claims that I can do this in one 13-hour drive.I’d like to blow out some tires and eat the hell out of some shrimp and grits. The place around here that did a really good job of recreating lowcountry food for Northern swine closed during the pandemic.
Sign me up. Maybe Scout will let us benchmark the best speed for shooting the windows out of a Prius.
Butterfly roof on this building! Is there anything you’re doing that isn’t totally amazing? Here are some early renderings of what the Scout Experience Center could look like. Subject to change.
This will be located at our Blythewood, South Carolina Production Center. More details as we get closer.

Clearly, I need to put on a pair of cheaters to more closely inspect the bakery counter offerings. I mean, it’s South Carolina, but it’s not Orangeburg.I think the only thing for sale at the bakery counter (as seen in image 3550) are unpeeled eggs and bottles of olive oil, yet the decorative signage says “vegan” along with a lot of other illustrative words, so no, they’re not doing anything that isn’t totally amazing.Fireplace? Espresso? Multiple flavored syrups? Nothing to eat but eggs? This place rules.
Great news! Keep us posted! This is something we are actively exploring. Short answer is very likely.![]()
