Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

we had the Bronco in Azure gray metallic. We called it old denim because that’s what it reminded us of. I do want colors but a tasteful blue is certainly welcome. The Terra concept in person as a gray/blue was stunning and pics don’t do it justice.
My dad ordered the Maverick in Azure Gray Metallic. It is a very nice color, as is Area 51. I just see it everywhere. That's my only complaint. I do like it, but I also like variety! :)

Of course, you must have the standards: Black, White, Red, Blue, etc. but please include some really unique colors like Jeep and Ford are doing. I love the sage green-like color available for the Bronco and the Wrangler. Cool light primary colors are also neat as well as rich solid colors like battleship gray, milk chocolate, caramel, a buttercup yellow, etc.

I suggest color schemes that give a shout out to well-known Americana. A nice creamy gray in recognition of the Navy, an Army green, a sage/mint green in honor of the US Forest Service, a deep school bus yellow because it looks good with black accents.

Those are my votes. When I look at the choices in the poll, I say, "YAWN!"

I won't buy anything on the grayscale. I will make an exception for a white Patriot/Spirit edition with lots of red&blue.
I want actual colors. Green is my favorite but green is tricky. It can pretty easily go from I love it to I hate it. My favorite green out there is the metallic British racing green on Mini Coopers. That color with the Traveler interior shown - chef's kiss. I don't like army/olive greens at all - just mix blue and yellow, no red.
I could also go for a metallic/pearlescent sky/bright blue with the interior on the Terra.
Purple could be interesting.
No matter what, don't make the colors so dark I confuse it for black. Some people seem to love Anti-matter blue on Bronco but to me, it's just black 95% of the time. There's one in my neighborhood that my wife thought was black for over a year until it came up in a conversation when I mentioned the blue Bronco down the street and she didn't know what I was talking about. I've seen many greens that are the same way.

Hello Scouts!

We thought it would be fun to talk colors and see what people are interested in. So, let's assume black, white and silver are in the mix already. Here are a variety of different shades of fun colors for your voting pleasure. We are going to limit this just three votes per registered user, so pick your top 3 choices. Since it doesn't officially count, don't bother creating a different account just to bump something up. We will run some semi-official color polls much later as we get closer to production. Ok, so here are some general choices:

May not be as exciting as some options but I’m a white fan so having something in the white family would be great.

I currently have a 21 bronco sport in the cactus grey color they just discontinued. Love the color and doesn't show much. I think that or a darker steel blue or a sand color could be a really cool option for the Traveler

How about a bi-colored vehicle with a pinstripe separating the two, a look back to the 70s if you will.

Since the plant for the new Scout is in SC, how about "yam" or to reference their BBQ sauce, "mustard'.....
It would indeed be amusing to name some paint options based on the BBQ sauce types common in South Carolina.

Tons of shades, and shades may make the difference from person to person. IIRC, the vehicles I have owned so far are Black (3), gray (2 - but it is never a favorite color of mine), Red (2), Maroon (2), very dark green (2), orange (1). Wanted OD green, but have never gotten one. Had to drive 2k miles to get the orange-it tends to be a fairly rare color. One of the dark greens was a custom paint job.
