Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Hello Scouts!

We thought it would be fun to talk colors and see what people are interested in. So, let's assume black, white and silver are in the mix already. Here are a variety of different shades of fun colors for your voting pleasure. We are going to limit this just three votes per registered user, so pick your top 3 choices. Since it doesn't officially count, don't bother creating a different account just to bump something up. We will run some semi-official color polls much later as we get closer to production. Ok, so here are some general choices:

The Blue/Gray I would hope should look something similar to the Toyota Tundra Lunar Rock color. It's such a beautiful blue that you don't get to see too often. If you do dark green, make it closer looking to British Racing Green since there are practically no cars with that paint color unless you pay $15k+. Copper is awesome, but maybe do a little more bronze. I think these 3 colors are favorites and colors we all wish we saw more often on cars.

Great point! It's evident they listened to the community!
Well actually they didn't quite. The colours were based on the first and last Scouts manufactured. Scout FC501 was blue, and the last Scout was a red maroon. Admittedly they didn't quite copy the colours (I have seen both originals) but came up with modern derivatives. Scott actually mentioned that in the presentation.

Thanks. That copper is gorgeous (and/or whatever burnt orange the pre-production Traveler is). I think honestly that's the only color I would get.
The reveal copper color was beautiful and I’m still wondering what colors I will possibly like better. It’s a fresh color but feels like it could be vintage. The copper comes off both masculine and feminine. Unlike the copper tone Lexus is offering

I like the copper that Nissan has had in recent years.

Please, limit monochrome colors to 1 or 2 max. I'm so over seeing black, white, black, white, gray, sliver, gray, another gray, and some more gray on the roads. The new Broncos have more than enough grays to last us a lifetime.

Be bold, be different. Be Scout! My parents' Scout Traveler was yellow. Need to ask them which yellow, as I was just a little one when they bought it.

The Concord Blue and Bimini Blue Poly from 1978 are amazing. I would definitely get those.
Huge fan of Elk and Buckskin. My '77 was originally Elk.

They will be offering a light top, dark top and color matched top per @Jamie@ScoutMotors. It may not be pUte white but assume will look good as I get the look you are going for.

I'd like to see an option for the white roof to use the highly reflective cooling white paint developed by a professor at Purdue University: https://www.purdue.edu/newsroom/202...int-now-thinner-than-ever-ideal-for-vehicles/ Assuming of course that this kind of paint is commercially available and viable by the anticipated production date. Maybe even a removable roof panel to cover the glass roof in the summer and remove the panel in the winter when you prefer to let the extra warmth into the truck.

I'm surprised at the high number of votes for the blue gray. To me, it looks just like Area 51 on the Bronco. My daughter jokes that she doesn't think Broncos come in any other color because for the longest time, we only saw them in Area 51. Yeah, it's a popular color, and I originally contemplated it when I was thinking about buying a Bronco, but it borders on monochrome and it's overused, in my opinion.

we had the Bronco in Azure gray metallic. We called it old denim because that’s what it reminded us of. I do want colors but a tasteful blue is certainly welcome. The Terra concept in person as a gray/blue was stunning and pics don’t do it justice.

Scheduling the reveal at the photographer's golden hour with the sun behind the subjects was a stroke of "<fill in the blank>". Then shifting to what surely were lED floods and spots with their wonky colour spectrums leaves valuations of the colours nuanced at best. In looking at all the publicity photos I'm fairly sold on the Traveler's red-maroon, but I can't find what turned you on in the Terra's deeper blue.

In the studio design, the attached image was on display. It looks like a metallic brown sugar like color, maybe something similar to metor shower that is on the Landcruiser? This looks gray with gold flakes, I bet this would look incredible. Also, if you dive into the vehcicles you'll locate this image...

That dark brown with golden metallic flecks was around for Toyota's Tundra in very limited numbers in 2023, I have also caught it on a couple of other models. Toyota called it mesquite; I agree, it is stunning.

I’m dying because I thought the same thing at the reveal. The view that direction was EPIC but sitting there I kept wondering if you’d even be able to see Scott in the shot as the sun was dropping. 🤣
That said the event was exceptional so no complaints on my end but glad I’m not the only one. Prior to the start there were several staff photographers all pointing toward the direction with their light meters out so I’m sure they were earning their shots. It did make for a fantastic backdrop though
