Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I’m gambling with cabana (sure I’ll regret it 8 years later-if not sooner) and ralley shadow stripes-I like the tone on tone like the prototype) Our travelall had the faux wood panel vinyl graphics but not sure I could swallow that this day and age
You should go test drive a Wrangler with the Skyactive roof (I think that’s what they call it). It’s the same idea so should be pretty similar experience I would think. I remember them saying they had a Jeep designer involved and it makes sense after I saw the cabana top.

I hope they make the cabana roof more sturdy and seal proof than jeeps. Because I’ve heard some things about them. Is it gonna stop me from getting the Cabana Roof NOPE.

I am so glad they have multiple options for the roof so everyone can get what they want. I have a Clear Lidz on my Wrangler and I run it that way all year round and I love the openness of it. I don’t like having to be closed in when it’s raining or snowing but that’s just me. This is what it looks like. And I was so happy to see the Scout had the pano glass roof. I was really disappointed the new 4Runner just had a small sunroof. That was a dealbreaker for me

Maybe I will. We had a soft top Bronco for just over a year so noise I can handle but maybe I can find one with the sky roof to test drive. Great idea

See one thing i don't need to worry about is a garage because mine is filled with crap lol. My scout will be getting paint cancer from the sun. Like a real car should lol.

But car uv paint protection now days is so good they barely get affected by the sun.

I would not get the Skyactive roof I just see it breaking and having leak issues. I already have enough on my hard top so much that I do not take the roof panels off anymore since I am out of factory warranty, and every time I have taken the top off the seals start to leak 1-2 weeks later and now the dealer charges $1,200 to replace the seals so for my scout it is steel roof or glass roof for me anything removable I am staying far away from. If you want a wrangler hard top is fine just get your fix taking it off while you are still under factor warranty but after that don't take it off. Also V6 with the 8 speed auto is what I have and it is the best wrangler powertrain unless you can get/afford the 392 V8.

I would like to get this for my Wrangler also, but I am not in the mood to buy this and then spend $1200 at the dealer for them to fix the roof seals again since every time I remove the roof the seals start leaking 1-2 weeks after.

Totally get it. I just leave my Clear Lidz on year round and it totally doesn’t seal well on the sides above the driver and passenger side windows at all. Front and back great seal. Sides not so much. I have wind noise and if it’s snowing and the wind is blowing just right I get snow blowing in the car. I’m really looking forward to the Scout with the glass roof. I get my open feel all year round and no snow in my car!

Not to brag (well, maybe just a little) but I've got you beat.

12' X 12' door on my 30' X 60' garage. No worries about fitting the Scout in, even if I install a massive lift kit on it.

In fact, I might have to reserve a few more Scouts to fill up the extra space in the garage.
You could get all the colors offered with that space!

That is a MAGNIFICENT green!
It's one of my favorite greens out there and is what I'd choose. I believe all Scout competitors offer a green however nobody offers a green like this. Rivian's Forest is too dark, Launch is earthy/muted. Bronco's Eruption is very rich with lots of gold. 4Runner Everest is another dark one but w/blue in it. Defender's Pangea is very faded looking.

This color is beautiful, approachable, and I think would very nicely complement all the black and machined trimmings. For historical purposes I checked and Scout DID in fact offer similar colors back in the day so another box ticked (if that box exists on their end).
