  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I hope they just take the approach that Acura always has and just put in an amazing sound system for all tiers. It’s one of those features that 98% of all buyers value. Tow packages, off-road package and winter packages aren’t for everyone and should stay as options but stereo is almost a no brainer

I totally agree! I had two Acura TLs with the ELS 5-channel sound system back to back and they were great. I don't really think 5-channel sound is necessary for car audio, but I sure enjoyed it when i had it. The demo disks provided by Acura really showed off the system's capabilities....Dragon Attack by Queen in 5-channels was pretty amazing!

I bought the Eagles live in audio DVD and probably best sound experience ever listening to Hotel California. Also got Metallica greatest hits which was killer. It’s overkill for a Scout but what an immersive experience

Ive been in cars with 7 channel systems its pretty wild especially the back middle seat (best seat for people that like hearing each section of music)

I had my Mini Countryman get a custom 7.2 surround sound system, thats a fun experience since its not a large space, but its sound amazing.

Dear Scout Engineers,
Please choose a system that has higher quality components and don't get tricked into audio systems from big companies that entice you with a high watt amount and a ton of speakers. What you want to make sure of is that the amplifier/receiver that for example Bose or Alpine or whomever offers it to you, wont even be seen has quality circuitry for clear sound a very little distortion as it gets louder. If you use the better components, you only need max 60 watts and 4 or up to 8 speakers if you want a a surround experience. The speakers are next and the max you should consider for the size if these vehicles should only be 6 to 8 speakers if place correctly. What you want to make sure of is the speaker quality response and magnets typically to keep the sound together , tight and with definition. Dont fall into a mass produced system from HK, Bose ,Alpine. that cost you I am assuming $300-650 bucks per vehicle. Set yourself apart as Scout with the best standard audio system period ! for a 65k Truck.. These audio companies can deliver it if you know what to ask for and how to spec it. And it doesnt mean Each vehicle has to be thousands more. Offer another 2 levels of upgrades for the discerning users, if it makes sense. Something tells me it doesnt from a mass produced vehicle standpoint. Anyway , I hope this helps !
