Scout Motors at CES 2025

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Such a beautiful machine, great design considerations with the Rallye stripes and the hideaway satellite.

My dad's only complaint is that, as a color blind person, he can't really see the Rallye stripes. I can see them but would love some that stand out more too, just for fun!

Can’t argue but I find this application very appealing because my wife hates graphics on cars but this she did’t really mind due to how subtle it was

I searched the CES website hoping to find coverage on Scout Motors, not much offered at the moment. Any recommendations on who to follow on YouTube?

Actually the guy who’s do the most there is ROMRRreviews he’s exclusively covering Scout. He has a bunch of shorts up but it seems a long format video is on the way during or after CES

And possibly Kyle from Out of spec.

And what I believe to be a wild jamie!!!!

…2027 is just to far away.
2years is far away? You must have just joined the party that almost over. Think about us that have been here/known about this for over 3 years. We see new Travelers and Terra’s coming off of the production line with the speed the past few months have been bringing.

It was more a nod to how well they are showing off this vehicle.

The Terra is exactly what I want on paper, if they can deliver 85% of it, it will get my purchase, at present there is not something that ticks all the boxes out now or coming out in the next few years outside of maybe the Ram.

Also, I imagine it’s going to be 3.5 years before most of the early reservations actually get their hands on orders.

Not a stalker-promise!
He may or may not be on Facebook-promise I’m not camped out in his neighborhood, dressed in black, in the tree to the left of the hut, in Illinois 🤣🤣🤣
Patiently waiting for a demo Scout to arrive in his driveway.
BTW I hear it’s cold there in case you want to leave some hot chocolate or Bourbon out on the porch Jamie
-just sayin’ 😀

Yeah that's the back of my head in the maroon shirt black vest!

Longer video just dropped.

And no that's not Jamie either. We got to meet him and chat for a while. Awesome dude. The whole team was great to talk to.

It's like Xmas as a kid. That last hour before you could wake your parents up lasted for weeks...

That UX stuff is looking really good.
Wonder how those under cameras are going to stay clean/clear and protected.

Had the chance to crawl around the prototype at CES. Have to say, this design hits the spot for me. Perfect size, nice clearance, love the retro styling, but with plenty of modern amenities. Really seems like a top notch design. Love the fact that a gas generator is an option. I've got an order in for a Rivian R2, but I'll be placing one for a Scout today. Recently bought the '24 Land Cruiser (which is a great vehicle in it's own right), but now believe I'll be skipping the Riv and waiting for this one. Feels like the Scout is designed to be a great off roader that can be a daily driver, while the R2 is more a daily driver that can be a solid off roader.

Were you able to touch the leather? If so give a report about how it felt lol. Do you think it will hold up over years of use?

Kyle's video just dropped on the YouTubes. I just got to the point in the video containing an unexpected surprise: Kyle speaking with Jamie!
Another great video! Kyle makes an interesting suggestion for Scout to use Rivian motors. That's the first time I've heard it proposed. I wonder if Rivian would be able to meet production demands, especially with their own R2 and R3 coming.
