Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I hope SM doesn’t follow Ford’s lead with the Stroppe Edition, because Ford effectively killed the best thing they’ve got; a two door V6 is now made only with super loud livery.
The Badland has the option for HOSS 3.0 Fox shocks which essentially makes it a Wildtrak with a sway bar disconnect.

The Wildtrak was always an odd trim. The first year, you could option any trim to be Wildtrak-equivalent by simply adding the Sasquatch package and V6. Then 1.5 years later the Fox shocks were the Wildtrak distinction. With Ford giving the Fox option to Badlands, they finally gave up the ghost and deleted the Wildtrak.

I could be totally wrong but my suspicion all along has been the Sasquatch package was supposed to be the Raptor-equivalent for Broncos but some absolute champion on the Ford team convinced them to offer the Sasquatch package on all Broncos and then make a Raptor separate.

All that to say, I appreciate the Fox shocks finally be combined with the electronic sway bar disconnect, whatever Ford wants to call it but:

Can I get that in a two door with the V6?

I hope SM keeps options open across “trims” or whatever they calm them.

I agree, I appreciate the ability to mix and match packages with different trims when it came to the Bronco but at times you were forced into different trims based on limitations to interior packages and colors.

I’ve said before but nearly every sub company of VWAG allows great flexibility with interiors and exterior combos as well as features so hoping that carries across to SM products

Something wild and hilarious, I decided to look for articles on Scout, whatever was most recent and this CleanTechnica article popped up.
It makes some bold assumptions about Scout Motors let alone VWAG. Took me searching another article just kinda repeating the CleanTechnica's take to finally find the Manager Magazin article, aber Ich habe kein Euro (also idk if I really want to pay .99€ and sign up for an account to read something I won't believe anyways). I'm also presuming this article actually has anything about Scout albeit it being about Pablo Di Si. Part of me thinks these American Electric Vehicle websites are just trying to generate clicks with some controversial or erroneous information.

I don't really see how these articles can justify claiming Scout Motors will push the commercial release of the vehicles further beyond 2026 to 2028 and that there will be a hybrid offering.

One wonders how legit this guy is. He doesn’t call it Scout Motors and even misspelled Scott’s last name.
He seems like a hater on VWAG

Some interesting tid bits.
it was something of a surprise that not even one body panel of the latest model was even slightly tweaked.
Honestly I feel like it makes sense to not change the look of the Rivian on the outside. It makes all their vehicles an advertisement more for the whole brand than the individual vehicle type.

Impressing overall though. Almost 24 hours till we hear of its latest and greatest competition. Not saying we need a 1000hp Scout or the equal pricetag though lol

From a Fort Wayne Local news station
Electric Rebirth: Scout vehicle with Fort Wayne roots gets EV relaunch

I noticed there were some inconsistencies with what we know, like the time its being announced but being an hour early isn't bad I guess lol.

I hope he’s reading between the lines correctly. I would love a PHEV/EREV 4x4 with an open roof. Give me ~100 mile electric range and a small generator to go farther and take my money
