Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scoutsâ„¢. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Need to contact them and tell them the reveal day is October 24th, not the tail end of September 😭
I don't believe anything I read from 3rd party sources, I recall reading an article that indicated the new Scout would have a fold down windshield I while back. It's in the forum somewhere. You'd think they could easily get the reveal date correct.

I’m guessing the AI model used to write the article was probably trained months ago - before the date was announced.

So much of what we read online now is largely machine generated even if the guy responsible in this case has a BA in journalism. It’s a surprising mistake for a human following and reporting on the industry not to catch.

For those who haven’t visited the STORIES page lately there’s a great story about Scout trail guide maps. Fun read. Hope SM takes inspiration from that guide book and creates a new form of trail guide. Lots of potential for it.
Maybe some of the lesser known trails get published into an onboard GPS trail guide that only Scout buyers get. Then a QR code on the screen to open and read more about it from the original Scout trail guide.
Cool stuff!

I just purchased a copy off eBay, I love it. Some local trails in this guide in my area and awesome to reminisce on it's history and what it was. I love the commentary in this guide and reading about the experiences of those who contributed.

Just read the Thom Hill story and what a great read. Great job on the article. I love hearing about cool ventures between companies with similar philosophies. Those two Scouts are great

If Scout Motors takes up this idea, that’s how I’ve spent a good part of my career and am still connected with a bunch of map and guide publishers, digital and print.

I would love to help get a new trail guide made.

Broncos have some Easter Egg map coordinates designed in. Something like that with coordinates to places in Scout history

I know this is yet another article with non official renders but some of the design cues are worthy. Article is same old, same old-posted more for renders

Probably best realistic Render I've seen yet.
Not bad for adding a slight wheel well budge and and square headlights to a Scout II although for a 4 door it has a 2 door front door compromising the entrance exit from rear seat. At least that is my first impression. If it follows most EVs the grille will be flat without openings.

After viewing the Hummer EV ads on TV I hope we see a similar push button ground clearance increase on demand. Crab walk l, meh.

I guess if Ford can pull off a limited edition based on retro/nostalgia then hopefully Scouts will have some cool opportunities
I thought about posting this but refrained as I didn't want to come across as a Bronco fanboy on the Scout forum. While this special edition won't be for everything, I admire Ford's efforts to do something retro and unique. I contemplated getting the Heritage model as the 6th gen has many cues that relate to the 1st gen but the Heritage felt like the best value with the cool factor. I agree, I hope Scout honors some of its heritage, perhaps a take on the Super Scout or a Midas edition. No need to reinvent the wheel.
