Are factory deliveries for reservation holders being considered?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Hope it happens because I'm all for it.
Definitely gives me the impression that they’ve really thought things through. Hope everything works out as good as it looks.

Here are some early renderings of what the Scout Experience Center could look like. Subject to change.

This will be located at our Blythewood, South Carolina Production Center. More details as we get closer. :D

I'm curious whether factory deliveries, particularly for early reservation holders, are being considered by Scout. That would be similar to what some folks have been able to do with Rivian, picking up their R1 in Normal and then driving it home.

In my case the round-trip of 14 miles to collect the Terra Harvester that I reserved might be pretty arduous, but I'd be willing to give it the old college try. :)
It must be pretty great living that close and being able to watch Scout motors be born. This is a great idea, it would be awesome to do a 1200 mile road trip with my son to pick up a Terra Harvester. I figure it will take two full charges and two tanks of gas to get it back to Nebraska.

It is interesting to zoom in on the vehicles. There is a Benz in the parking lot hopefully being traded in 😁. But, zoom way in in the trucks inside the showroom. The Scout logo is dead center on the grill. This means absolutely nothing of course. Just fun. Yes, the 800ish looking Scouts would be an awesome concept for a smaller model!

I can see how this would be fun, and am glad it exists.

I just checked, and it’s about 2900miles one way for me. Im no stranger to long road trips, but yikes. Sounds like I’ll be taking the delivery option :D.

Meh, looks kinda chill and inviting. Can you guys add in some stark blue-white fluorescent tube lights, dirty linoleum floor and raggedy-ass chairs around a metal desk? Maybe add a couple dudes with greased back hair and fake smiles? You know, make it more car "dealership-y". :)

Where's your sense of adventure?! :ROFLMAO:

Its true! And Scouts always make it home right? I'd probably do an oil change halfway home .

Sometimes I enjoy the long road trips, but other days, it does just feel like something to "get through". Every year we do a WA-UT road trip to see family, and we do the ~900 miles (one way) in one day. And by the end of that day, we're all ready to be done with it.

I've done cross country road trips of similar-ish lengths (OH - CA and back) before, and honestly finding the time off of work starts to be the issue at some point.

And at that distance I'm sure I'm getting my moneys worth out of the delivery charge :p.

I hear ya. We would to the WA-UT road trip every year for over a decade, now that we just moved down here we do the UT-WA road trip a couple times a year for family visits. YES...getting the time off work can be a hassle for most for sure, that's probably the biggest barrier actually lol.

Ok, no one seems to be addressing the most important question here: are those donut holes in the glass case by the café? What other pastries might be offered? Any other food options? 🤣🤣🤣
