What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Three things that would make me happy are folding mirrors (or no mirrors), a ten-way passenger seat (height adjustable for short passengers), and a light-colored interior.

Bright beams switch on the floor—driver’s left foot, instead of on the hand-operated indicators on the steering tree. It would be a fun nod to the past.

Probably illegal now, but I always enjoyed that feature on my old model.
I understand that one as my 68 Camaro has that feature. But it won't work with the dead pedal feature that is standard on cars now.

Generally that’s the left side raised “pedal” that is fixed to balance your leg/ankle/foot position for symmetry

Yep.

As I understand it, it started as a place to rest your foot, primarily on automatic transmission equipped vehicles back when that was new.

It was literally a “non functioning pedal” place to put your foot, when you were used to using a clutch on a manual transmission.

I’m sure this has been covered but an option for a removable rear facing 3 rd row bench seat.
Not against this at all but what’s your reason for wanting? Just curious as it’s specific as an item that hasn’t been around for quite some time. That said I like the idea as I’m personally very excited for the tailgate which I will use often on the traveler

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, it's very difficult to find an SUV that offers 4WD that has captain seats in the rear. I do hope this will be an option for the Traveler.

Will be an option for buckets with “fancy” center console and then bench seat with fold down arm rest/cupholder-bin top
It will be interesting to see how this fares in the crash testing, from my understanding this was the main culprit behind manufacturers doing away with front bench seats.

I know the scout isn’t designed as a luxury SUV, but I have Mercedes GLE SUV and I love the massaging, heated and ventilated front seats.

I’d also hope it has Lane Centering Assist “LCA” and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go so it can be used in traffic.

Lastly, I hope the SUV seats lay completely flat so you can just roll a bedroll out in the back of the SUV.

Ability to flip the front bucket seats in Terra Truck into a bed or a flat platform. That way, a couple of adults could sleep in it comfortably without setting a tent, etc. Ability to open the Moonroof inside Terra Truck. Couple of speakers inside the front trunk connected to the car stereo to listen to music when front trunk is open. Plug and play auxiliary buttons (trail lights, winch). Front Camera. Storage inside truck cabin, maybe under rear seats (tools, accessories).

For those occasions we take our grandchildren home with us. Nothing fancy.

Welcome to the forum!

Camera!!!

The idea of offloading camera footage and improving security with integrated camera systems is becoming more and more popular, especially in EVs. For example, Tesla already has built-in cameras for things like Autopilot and Sentry Mode, which can be really helpful for monitoring your surroundings, parking lot security, and recording events if there's an incident.

Scout can make improvement when it comes to offloading, cloud storage, and even more advanced security features. Many Tesla owners use external storage devices (like USB drives) to store video footage from these cameras, but managing and accessing it could be streamlined more easily with features like automatic cloud backup, better integration with smartphones, or more robust AI-powered alerts. I don't believe this would take away from the nostalgia of the vehicle, just add additional peace of mind.

I've already suggested this in the suggestion box, but the ability to flat tow. But not just flat tow, I want a fully integrated experience so that the Scout can do not only its own supplemental braking, but also provide supplemental power. Last but not least, by being integrated and setting your destination, it would be able to regenerate for the last leg of the day to be at 80% charge upon arrival.

Do you have suggestions on how this can be accomplished?
