Stunning colors & stripes on Terra / Traveler - previews šŸ˜

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scoutsā„¢. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

To Scout designers: please give us this nice of color options to pick from. And stripes just like these also.

I like the Ralleye. My plan all along has been to have all of the heritage decals put on my new Scout as ghost decals. They'll be visible but you'll have to look close to make sure you're seeing what you're seeing. My plan is to do the Ralleye Sripe and "Scout" on the top rear of the quarter panel. I will likely also have "IH" on the front fenders and "International" on the tailgate. A faint reminder of where it came from.

To whoever is deciding on colors to offer, please please offer a Grenoble Green Traveler with rallye stripes šŸ™

A subtle take would be cool to see in one of these renders...

For me, with the new Scouts being such big vehicles, big bold colored rallye stripes (black / white for ex.) would be too in your face. The idea of ghost version is a great idea though and would be a subtle way to have stripes but not be so overhwhleming.

I agree, primarily b/c I saw someone else post a pic of a scout (may have been a classic scout now that I think of it) with a subtle greyish silver ralleye stripe taht was sort of sublimated looking... Maybe it will pop up again here somewhere, I will look around. Go HOYAS! šŸ¶

I haaaaaaaate hate hate hate hate HATE matte finish cars, but if you wanted to do the Rallye stripe thing in gloss over a matte paint job, that would look all kinds of amazing. Itā€™s one of my favorite dramatic flourishes on an expensive book cover (plus it smells good when itā€™s fresh off the press). šŸ˜

This?

These two Scouts are very nice. But what I would do it even more subtle. The best way to describe it is that the paint on the vehicle would be done in glossy clear coat finish (typical paint job) and the ghost decals would be a coat of mat-finish clear coat. I've seen it done as ghost flames on custom cars, but I've never tried it. It's time to paint my 1980 Scout II again, I think I'll ghost stripe it. Maybe it's not as cool in real-life as it looks in my head. In my head it's AMAZING! *grin*

Yeah-I was just thinking matte paint or even frosted clear film to overlay to get the contrast

Love those rallye stripe decals. Another one of my favorite decals of the original scouts was the pin-stripe that connected the side marker lights. Since the side marker lights were so expertly incorporated in the new Scout, I think it would be cool to bring that stripe back as well.

I feel like I'm cheating on scoutmotors.com for posting this but thought it was appropriate to share given the conversation. Source is ScoutEVFourum.com

Alot of potential here for SM. I think with the cemetery of the body lines of the traditional Scout II's this works well.
