  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
This is incredibly helpful! I agree with the request to see outlines, but I only see the need for it on the first image (if this was done in Photoshop that’s hella easy to do with the Stroke layer style: it looks a bit janky, but for this purpose, it’s quite convenient).
How about the traveler vs the Terra.? Having a hard time trying to figure out if there’s a wheelbase difference and the overall size difference between the tara and the traveler.
Thanks in advance!

Terra wheelbase is 148.6 inches.
Traveler wheelbase is 120.4 inches.

What other sizes did you want to compare? The dimensions for each are on scoutmotors.com and on this forum. If you use the search function, you should be able to find them easily enough by searching for “dimensions.”

I’m curious to know if this was going to help you make a decision based on probably turning radius or width/length or that kind of thing?

Wheelbase changes the game when off road too. Breakover angle can come to bite you.

Here is another effort. Side view of Terra vs F-150 along with wheel base of each-color coded. Still trying to find best overlay method. I’m really surprised how truly similar these two trucks appear

I’ll do the Ridgeline since I’m a Honda guy. Might be next week as I’m running around over lunches rest of week

So I took a shot at some overlay comparisons. All vehicles shown are 98% accurate. I did a full overlay of a bunch and they are labeled but a bit tough to compare all at once. Also dropped a traveler vs Bronco 4-door and a traveler vs Yukon.
If I have time over next week I can break down some of the others shown if someone has a specific comparison.
I’m not adding more vehicles unless a whole lot of people need to see a specific comparison.
I did not show wrangler as I figure it’s nearly same as Bronco-give or take ?
Hope the visuals help a bit!
That's awesome work.
You happen to have any of them Terra comparisons? 😁

Terra with F-150 and Honda ridgeline posted. I probably should’ve done the Rivian. No promises on other s but what did you want to see

For the Terra Can you do a Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab? Curious to what the size difference is.

And for the Traveler can you compare it to a BMW x3 and x5 if you can. And for fun do a mini countryman 2019 lol.
If you have free time.

Pick one 🤣. Which is priority-assuming the Chevy?
Do the Chevy Silverado only since the traveler I already have a size sense known lol, since where I live in NOYB, New Jersey we have a lot of the 4 doors lol. And doing the Chevy will add to the Terra’s small collection of size comparison.

J Alynn I think you found a new job! *grin* I was wondering how the new Scouts compare to the 1951 Hudson Hornet! *barrel roll* What you do it pretty cool. All the best....
The Hudson Hornet was a very special vehicle. As for job I’m sure somebody on here is better on photoshop than me. Finally jumped into it again after nearly 20years-like riding a bike with a flat tire down a mountainside 🤣
Thanks BTW.

🤦 I scrolled to check if you posted one, but I must've missed the pagination.
Awesome work.
Interesting to see the near exact lengths but shorter wheel base as the F150.

So bummed it’s not going to fit in my garage with the wheel on! It’s a lot bigger than my RAV4!🥲
