From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.
Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Who watched the live Scout Reveal? What are your thoughts on the new Scout Traveler and Scout Terra?
I think overall they're good, not sure how I feel about the Cabana roof
Just reserved the Terra with the gas extender. I’m in a wrangler hybrid right now and have been waiting for these - the announcement of the extender absolutely decided it for me. I learned to drive on the chief motif Scout II in 1987 - my dad had a Tahitian Red and the Chief. I’m in love and I cannot wait to have this in my driveway. Thanks for bringing it back so beautifully and with so many callbacks and tributes to the original!
Couldn't decide so reserved one of each 
Just reserved a Traveler with the gas extender. I was definitely grumpy at first with no removable top, but the body on frame design with a rear solid axle really opened my eyes. Incredible job!!! This will go great next to my 78 Scout II

I dig the vibe and what sold me was the generator option for more range. I reserved one, decision was made right after the specs on options to add the generator option. Sold. They captured the look and feel, definitely did their homework on the original.
And I'm already feeling Bronco ordering related PTSD...thanks a lot, FordCouldn't decide so reserved one of each
Look pretty good but not sure if I can justify the base price yet without modular roof design or 2 door options.
I sure hope the cabana roof is just an option.
Please consider dropping the squircle steering wheel. Round is good.

Yup! Me too. So excited. What a great reveal. I still have hope that there can be some sort of forum members badge or emblem to add. We’ve all been waiting a looong time for today to finally happen with lots of comments. A distinction of that would be cool. Not crucial but cool.
I was hoping for a pop off as well but I’ll take it. It’s still a huge open area and with windows down, plenty of wind. My dogs will love the bench seat. I’ll love the premium audio, which I’m sure I can get factory add on.
