So I for one am embracing this new Scout, even as others(namely on Binder Planet), denounce it.
That said, someone else mentioned that the Scout could dethrone the Wrangler and take the Bronco to task, and I have to agree. While I'm hoping for a full-hybrid option, there are some things that could be done to really usher in a new age while also embracing the heritage:
That said, someone else mentioned that the Scout could dethrone the Wrangler and take the Bronco to task, and I have to agree. While I'm hoping for a full-hybrid option, there are some things that could be done to really usher in a new age while also embracing the heritage:
- Establish Indiana roots. There's a ton of pride in the American aspect of the Scout, and this is tied mostly to it's non-Detroit lineage.
- Feature the old Scout in new marketing material, showcasing how just like it's predecessor, the Scout is game-changing. Ahead of it's time.
- Hold events celebrating the old and new. This is already being done, but needs to happen more. There's Jeep Jamborees. There's Jeeping 101s. We want more of this for the Scout. We love them. Give us the community outreach we crave.
