What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
From what I can tell the Scouts have rubber flooring (which I love), but I haven't seen seat material specs.

I'd love to see a water resistant seating option in MGV (like the Bronco) or neoprene from the factory. I have neoprene covers on my truck, but it's just not the same as OEM options; almost all aftermarket seat covers look cheap to me.

As someone who surfs or mountain bikes almost daily, I'd like to have something resistant and easy-to-clean after regular exposure to water/mud/sand etc.

Factory roof racks for the Terra to carry something like a kayak or paddleboard would also be awesome; bed racks work, but a 13-14' kayak sits too far back when towing a travel trailer. This is another feature where aftermarket options are trumped by a rack that is securely built into the design.
They only showed us a combination of natural leather and fabric. But, those are concept vehicles. I suspect we will see several options based on trim level. No specifics yet.

A vented rear seat isn't the same as a ventilated one. Vented usually means the rear seats have an air vent. A ventilated seat is perforated and has air blown through it.

It was stated at the reveal that there will be front and rear ventilated seats. See photos I took of the rear seat controls. IMG_4314.jpegIMG_4317.jpeg

Posted some of these on another forum:

Android Auto (or Car Play) - love having always up-to-date maps and traffic, as well as my choice of music apps on my phone.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Heated Steering Wheel
Rain Sensing wipers
Auto headlights/auto high beam

Pro Power Onboard equivalent - looks like they have something similar, but it will be curious to see how it compares to the 7.2kw Ford offers, and if the generator can help power this like the Ford when the truck is "off", esp during long workloads or powering a house during extended power outages, or to power a camper when boondocking - want it to allow harvester to basically turn the truck into a mobile generator as long as I have gas. I do like that there are outlets both inside and outside the bed - being able to have a bed secured (with a cover) and still use those outlets is pretty cool. Hoping it will be a pure sine wave vs modified sine wave inverter. If it's *only* an inverter off the battery and harvester isn't part of the equation, that would severely limit it's usefulness.

Tailgate Features:
- tailgate step for getting in and out of the bed (though steps molded into the corner of the bumper would be an acceptable alternative, or mount points for something like an aftermarket AMP retractable corner step)
- Openings for clamps, molded in ruler, cup/phone holder, etc to make it a more usable workspace. I think Scout is positioned more as an offroader than a worksite truck, but why can't we have both?
- Tailgate down reverse camera
- Lighting for hooking up a trailer in the dark

Power running boards
360 cameras
Bed lighting

Tow Mirrors (Terra) - not sure if I would prefer larger mirrors like on my F150, or some way that the regular mirrors can extend out for towing.

"Drive Modes", like a lot of other cars have. Something like this:
- "Eco mode" - turn off harvester, limit max speed/acceleration, lower suspension (if that's available), etc to maximize EV range
- "Normal mode" - the already stated 150 miles of EV range, then harvester kicks in for additional 350 miles
- "Max Range/Tow mode" - harvester always runs to continuously charge/reduce battery consumption (if I can extend the range with multiple gas fillups before the battery needs a rechange for long/remote trips, esp while towing, that would be ideal)
- "Charge mode" - park it but let Harvester run to charge the battery
- etc
I wanted to share some pictures of the bed lights.

Hmm - not sure if I like that being at the top of the bed rather than tiedowns near the floor - I have had times I wish I had both.
Yep. You definitely need some tie downs. Tie ups can be handy too.

What would the application for this be? I can think of times where you have to air out the cabin fast, but are there other use cases that I’m not thinking of?
-Sudden downpour.
-Somebody breaks wind
-Hot summer afternoon leaving work
-Commercial mower blowing grass at the road
-angry/hungry monkeys at a drive through safari zoo
-Zombie rush
-Swarm of bees
…I digress….🤣

I’m lazy, and I’ve seen it in other vehicles, albeit only as all windows down. The first thing I do when I get in to drive is drop all of the windows and tilt the sunroof. I’d like to flick one button instead of four, and have only one button press to send them all back up when I park.

Okay, that’s a pretty helpful feature, you’ve got me there. Unleash the farts with one touch!

Here’s an idea I don’t think anyone’s mentioned. My car has power seats - adjustable in a zillion different ways. It’s so adjustable it can actually be hard to find a good setup…till I discovered this feature: if you adjust the distance to the pedals to be good for you, then depress the correct button, it guesses your dimensions sets up the car appropriately. The seats go through this circus as all the settings are adjusted, and all the mirrors are adjusted too. You have to be holding the button down the whole time, presumably for safety. Even if you don’t think the final position is perfect, it’s a good starting point tailored just for you. Very handy.

Adding one more item to my wishlist, LARGE seat bolsters. Hear me out, the bolsters on my Jeep GC Trailhawk are what I’m use to. But the bolsters in the MRS Alfa Romeo are by far the best seats I’ve sit in.

I hoping there’s an upgraded seat option that keeps you planted.
