What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
The swing-out carrier is going to be an option. By default, the tire is going to be underneath (not clear on whether or not that’s the case for a 35 if that happens to be your jam)
Great, I have zero interest in anything larger than a 33" tire anyway. The kind of off-roading that requires a 35 is the kind I'm not doing in a $60K vehicle...

I’m pretty naïve about off-roading and did some Googling about why a person would want 35-inch tires and saw that there were some fine reasons to do it, like better traction, handing, and breaking, but then you get this at the expense of fuel economy 👎. It sounds like fun, just not practical for me. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I’m going to be almost all on road (in my Scoot). My dad and his siblings sold my grandfather’s land this past summer and that was the only place I ever really went off road and even that was pretty mild. Don’t have to ford a river, just drive through the branch.

I sure do love the look of those 35s though! Tough decision

A "camp mode" like what Rivian has, preferably using the airbags to auto level the interior for sleeping. Rear seats that fold down flat for a comfortable sleeping area in the back. Also, accessory mesh screens so we can roll down the windows if sleeping in the back of the rig.

On that note, after reading that you can drive through three feet of water, I am definitely intrigued and kind of want to know where I can specifically go do that. 😬 That is the kind of thing that child-me always wanted to do. I am into finding out about specific places to go to for Scoutventures.

Scout (or anyone who wants to do something nice for stressed-out adults) could buy/rent a summer camp in disuse or something. For the past couple of years, I’ve gone to a YMCA camp outside of Pittsburgh for an adult “cancer camp” weekend doing the kind of stuff you’d do at summer camp, albeit with things like the comfort of an air-conditioned cabin and such. It is where I discovered that what I have lost in OEM left breast, I gained in prodigious archery talent (well, until this summer: tore my ACL). It would be neat to have, you know, Scout Camp. Make friendship bracelets and tear up the lawn. Paint rocks and do donuts. Raid the Rivian Camp across the lake and steal their underwear.

Pet mode is in. They had it on the truck at after reveal event but didn’t show at reveal. Designer said they have set up so you can upload your pet’s photo.
I’m sure 360 and cameras will all be in. Anything mainstream in competitors will be in or available upgrade.
Will be no heritage at this point. They stressed evolution of design not throwback (was originally disappointed until I was standing in front of the vehicles-they look SO good). There is a rail on the dash top to add go pros, cameras, etc…
They are going to have a slew of accessories. I got the impression they want out the door flexibility so you get it as you want and they get the accessory sale-which is great so long as accessories are solid build and look good and work practically
Maybe I missed it somewhere, but does anyone know if there’s a power port up by that dash rail? The Bronco has the ability to get power ports up on the dash, for example. Seems like a rail and power ports together would be a good idea, but I haven’t noticed any ports in pictures or video from the reveal. I haven’t found any mention of it here either, but I may have just missed where it was discussed.

Me either. I had 33" tires on my Bronco and never came close to needing the off-road ability it had. It's just not something I'm going to do in my $60K daily driver. I sold the Bronco and bought an AWD Telluride, and honestly that has all the off-road ability I need.

I had 33 inch tires on my old 80 series Land Cruiser, and then I bought a more built up and lifted Land Cruiser with 35 inch tires, and after driving it a thousand miles, I have been thinking about downsizing back to 33 inch tires. If you're a person who isn't rock crawling and driving on something more rugged than forest roads, then 33 inch tires are just fine... The 35s look cool though.

What is the actual tire size of the 35's on the 20's? Did anyone get a picture of the actual size? I'm a sucker for OWL on the BFG's but pretty sure on the larger sizes you only get black sidewall.

Apologies if this is mentioned somewhere in the 6 pages of this thread...but regarding the what I'll dub the "gear rail" on the dash...was there a USB charging port anywhere up near it? One of the things I like about the Bronco is the charging port up by the camera mount on the dash.

Heated and ventilated seats;

Sentry Mode, with the capability to upload video to a cloud service of my choosing while connected to Wi-Fi;

No Keys (Start and Stop the vehicle with a secure connection via a phone)

Ability to move the car forward or back in a straight line via the app (Perfect for getting my current car in and out of my garage);

Android Auto / Apple CarPlay;
I'd really love a type of Sentry Mode or security mode, or the ability to upload/download camera footage from driving or being parked.

Ability to get solid roof (no pano or fabric rollback) regardless of trim level on Traveler.

Ability to flat tow behind RV or whatever. Not many vehicles available that can do this without extensive mods.

I believe there will be 3 roof options. Steel, glass or cabana. But I don’t think cabana will be offered on the Terra.

- A vehicle design that is end-user servicable using hand tools supplied with the vehicle, including a torque wrench. Real tools.
- A Chilton style paper manual for repairing almost everything on the vehicle. Links to videos online but paper is a must.
- Descriptive warning lights that tells the end user what is wrong with references on how to fix it.
- On-line parts store that ships express anywhere the vehicle is sold and then some (US/Canada/Mexico), with an overnight option.
- This includes major parts like bumpers, quarter panels, seats, differentials.

- 20A12VDC outlet in the bed.

As it was a concept I’m sure some kind of connector will be included
