What are you driving until release?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I am in a short term Nissan lease and was going to buy a tundra fall 2025. However, now with my reservation on a Terra, I am no longer going for the tundra and I’ll have to lease something for three years while I wait for the terra and hope timing works out.

What is everyone driving and what is everyone’s plans for the next few years?

I have a 2022 Tesla 3 long range. We have gone from 2 to 3 dogs and potentially having kids in the next couple of years. We do have a Jeep Cherokee as well but will be wanting something bigger in the coming years. Based on when I was intending to change from the Tesla this should be perfect timing.

I am driving a RAV4 hybrid. I’d intended to get a new Land Cruiser this year, and even had one of the early allocations, but I ended up passing on it. It wasn’t the smartest time financially for us, and I was disappointed in the reports on the MPGs given the hybrid engine. I was hoping for something a little more practical as a daily driver (that can also take us into the mountains on the weekend with two big dogs).

I’m obviously a fan of the boxy, retro SUV styling, so the EV Scout is a good blend of checking boxes for me. I’ve been considering EV for awhile, but haven’t quite seen the right vehicle to make the jump. Frankly, the fact that it has console buttons is one of the biggest pros compared to other EVs (in addition to looking pretty darn cool). The timing will also make more sense for a new car for my family than it would have been getting an LC this year.

Tesla Model 3 for daily driving, Nissan XTerra for off-roading. I’ll trade/sell both for the Traveler! I have a 5-year-old who loves to wheel with me and I think this would be awesome. Hopefully he still does in 2027!

2015 V6 Touareg Luxury for everyday and a 2009 Touareg TDI for off road. Looking forward to having one electric vehicle for both!

You have any Eurowise on your V10? In another thread I endorsed that Scout Motors should strongly consider an approved accessory supplier program, for companies like Eurowise, who already manufacture for Audi VW Porsche.

They could license and have engineering review of such aftermarket products, but not manufacture or have the two-step mark-up, but instead realize revenue from licensing the Scout brand to approved products.

2002 Chevy Avalanche Z71, installed a winch and soon a 2 inch lift and extra skid plates. 219k miles, mid gates are awesome.

Getting a 2022 base manual Bronco in eruption Green next week with an extended warranty until the Scout is here.

Had an order for an Ineos Grenadier, but the closest dealer was hundreds of miles away and ignored more order communications, insane.

So happy direct for Scout, no dealers

MY TDI is the 3.0 V6 and yes I have Eurowise Under body protection which is awesome!

Ah, I couldn’t remember if the 09 was still the V10. Love my 2015 TDI Lux. I’d love to see Scout partner with Eurowise. Just an hour or so up the road!
They definitely should! I love my Eurowise products and they have been so awesome to work with. I love taking my TReg on the trail and all the Jeep and Toyo guys are looking confused as I easily roll over everything, barley ever engaged low range or a locker. enjoying my heated seats and climate control the whole way ;) The only mods I have are larger tires and under body protection, nothing else needed. Hoping from what I see Scout is going to surpass the TReg.

We have already had aftermarket suppliers involved and will be working closely to support aftermarket development and our own extensive line of accessories. Stay tuned.

Maybe get a used ID.4? Since they will be on the same platform, you might well get a feel of it. Also, a 2-3 years ID4 will be well depreciated already. Saying this as an ID4 owner. :ROFLMAO:
