Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Oh I understand! No worries. I'm just saying they'll probably need to call it something else now.
True: we have an awful lot of naturally-occurring organisms to refer to that are on brand for a rugged tough guy outdoor vehicle to refer to as a color scheme that have 21st century sensitivity. There’s wheat. There’s goldenrod. There’s corn. There’s the dang sunrise. There are various ores and minerals and whatnot. There’s an art director who is surely on top of coming up with appealing, less-exploitative names for yellow.

I like Maize. Sounds like older names to your earlier color reference but nobody can cry foul 🤣

With modern wraps, if the Scout dealership can offer a dealer installed wrap…..acting as paint protection, but also endless colors for under $5,000 that would be a MEGA win for all.

For those who aren’t aware of wrap costs, they used to be $3,000 for a quality wrap, now in 2024…..$6,500 is the price, meaning that unless someone is a business (as businesses can write off wraps in taxes as “advertising”) or truly HATES the vehicle color, most would not bite.

However, $5,000 for a warrantied wrap financed into the vehicle when buying could be a more viable option.

I think we threw that discussion around early on -on one of the threads. I remember Jamie chimed in but don’t recall where that ended as discussions go

It took Ford way too long to offer Heritage colors on the Broncos. Not until third year in. Granted the color schemes in 1962-1963 were pretty tame and many may not translate well to modern tastes.

Saw this on Facebook this mirning

I like my car colors intense and shiny, like ford’s “eruption green”, Mazda’s “soul red crystal”, or Porsche’s “gentian blue metallic“. Anything but battleship gray. And for heaven’s sake, if you’re planning to buy me a vehicle for Xmas, no matte paint. Who needs the extra hassle?

Gotta dream 😂

I've always been a big fan of the color choices that Porsche offers from British Racing Green to Light Blue Metallic-reminds me of Brittany Blue.

A bold color I like right now is the Nitro Yellow Metallic on the Zr2 Bison.

Amen

Since the videos show some color samples for the new vehicles and we are hopeful that dark copper is going to be an option can we see the suv release model in the copper? I know it’s late and me asking doesn’t mean diddly but I’d love to see the suv in the copper tone or the modern version of the original Scout copper shade. The the pick up could be a shade of blue that mimics the early original blue color

Was grabbing gas today when this old beauty pulled in. Grabbed a pic because I thought the green was a great tone. Not sure if it’s an original corvette color but in the sun (and shade) it looked really good. I could see it on the new Scout(s)

Porsche and BMW have some gorgeous blues. BMW Marina blue and Snapper Rocks blue (M4). Porsche Riviera blue (918).

I'll throw out a crazier one. I'm getting closer to painting my Scout and have decided to go with a little inspiration from my Kayak. I'm looking at a darker blue gray, with some orange highlights and blacked out trim/accent pieces.

Loving Scout Motors Blue and Orange color theme every time I pull up this forum!!

Saw a Hinda GRV today in sunlight and caught my eye. Color is called Nordic forest green. I found an image online bit with a Scout like shape and a white or light gray roof I think this would be a great green/blue-gray color. Kind of a modern take on a vintage color

Meant Honda HRV. Apparently edit isn’t working right now
