Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I never owned one of the originals because I had a Ford bronco, but a friend of mine had the Scout and it was a great vehicle. I am definitely interested in the "new breed" and will keep an eager eye out for the vehicle's release and road reviews. The concepts look marvelous. Need only one addition to the colors available: polar white.

I'm surprised that we will see a reveal this year as we're about ~2 1/2years out but pumped about it. I think part of the excitement is the anticipation leading up to the release/production. This will allow us plenty of time to speculate and anticipate from reveal to delivery.

Personally I think showing what we're working on will get people excited. We have plenty of stories to tell on the road to production and LOTS of technical details, first drives, testing and more. We will take you all along for the ride.

any date on when first sale will occur? Is the manufacturing facility complete?
building frames just starting this is a BIG place. 1600 acers. no slabs that I can see from the road along one side of the site. dedicated interchange on I-77 not started, railroad access not started. i live across the road from the plants property.

I’ve been seeing flat black Rivian’s lately, and I think the color looks awesome - I would think flat colors would look great on the new Scout.

By flat do you mean the low luster or just black without any “sparkle”. I think this thought was discussed early on and even Jamie mentioned the repair side and extra production cost is tough but it could be an option. I’ve seen a couple of the new EV Hummers in the low luster (black and a silver green tone) and they do look good-as do the Rover-Defenders but may be cheaper to go with a wrap than actual paint

I keep seeing flat gray cars all of a sudden and all I can think of is brutalist architecture, followed by my ex-husband’s love of brutalist architecture. Don’t do me like that.

While the colors listed are fine Apache Gold is blatantly missing. Bring back the good stuff!
Probably shouldn't call it "Apache Gold" these days but I agree. I hope Scout is bold and doesn't offer black, grey, or white and only offers colours! Stand apart from every other automaker and offer only colour options. I'm hoping for an orange or yellow myself, ideally in a two-tone scheme of some sort.

That was the color as defined in the 60’s, right off the chart. While I understand the cultural concern but it was not meant to be derogatory at the time and certainly a point of reference today.
