New Scout To Be Revealed On October 24, 2024

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

We have officially announced the reveal date of the all-new Scout trucks - October 24, 2024. You all will finally get to see what we've been working on. Exciting times. Here is Scott Keogh's note:

They say the best things come to those who wait. After two years of dreaming big and pushing boundaries, we’re ready to show the world the next generation of Scout vehicles. On October 24, 2024 – 44 years after the last Scout II™ rolled off the line – we’ll officially reveal our new Scout SUV and truck concepts.

While you won’t see a lot of teasers or taillights from us between now and October 24, here’s what I can tell you. Like the originals, you’ll know a Scout vehicle when you see one. A bold, iconic design featuring multifunctional spaces for gathering and connection. Built for work and play, our new Scout SUV and truck will be rugged, capable, and versatile. They have to be in order to credibly don the Scout badge. And with real tactile controls and real feel, they’ll meet the needs of Americans on the road and way off.

Building not only cars but a company and factory from the ground up can certainly feel like a herculean task, but what we’ve learned these past few years is quite simple. When you put American ingenuity back to work, anything is possible. We couldn’t be prouder to create American jobs and produce this awesome connection machine that will bring people together and closer to the experiences that mean the most to them.

If you've ever owned, driven, or even seen a Scout truck, you know it's so much more than a vehicle or brand. It's a way of life. Cheers to the remarkable community that has kept the hardworking scout spirit alive for decades and all the makers, doers, and everyday explorers. Our new Scout vehicles are for you.

October 24 can’t come soon enough!

My Mother was on the phone with my Aunt out in Utah, I was so excited I ran out into the Kitchen to tell about Oct. 24 and my aunt even said she might sell her Jeep xD. They both grew up with IH Vehicles. My Grandpa had a Scout 800 and a Travelall, and drove semi moving Scouts.

I can't wait to see it

On my calendar!

Setting aside my $$$ for a reservation. If Scout Motors follows the lead of previous US reservations like Bronco and Rivian $100 should do it.

If SM wants to lead as they did with the 80 then $80 for community members ought to do it. And if price and practicality make these a fit for our property management business then multiple units may be in the mix.

Is there any chance you guys need a mediocre-at-best photographer? I'll work for a press pass! 🤣 :-D

I've been a bit light on automotive shots lately.

Looking forward to this reveal. It just so happens to be the day after our anniversary! I told my wife I am going to buy the new SUV sight unseen and order as soon as they allow us members to do so. This is for my dad who brought a brand new 73 Scout II home. Oh the memories we made in that rig. Can's wait for the new adventures!

Awesome. Also good to know the plant hiring hasn't begun yet. I was eyeballing the plant security management job and need another year here. Timing may just be right AND I'm a VW/Scout guy to boot. Loyalty matters. 100%

This video has got me very excited. It doesn’t give much away but there are what looks like a few glimpses of the new vehicles.

One of the designers calls it “badass”.

This video is perfect.

Just two weeks to wait!
