Heated cup holder

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I’m not against this but with everyone owning a rainbow of Yetis, Stanley’s, and the ever favorite-cheap give away thermal cup from(name your event here) I wonder if I’d use it. Mock me now-I’m a tea drinker not coffee but if I’m traveling I make my own hot drink to go. I get if you are on the road a lot and stop at the arches or Starbucks but it’s certainly a valid option if it’s a simple toggle/button and a small wire coil. Just don’t do the red and blue light thing-I like subtle interior accent lighting and cup holder lights would drive me nuts.

I’d use cold more than hot but with the cooler option in the center console it might be unlikely or maybe more likely since the console is cooled and maybe extend into the cup holder surround
if the soda has to be in the cooler to stay cold, I can't easily (or at all?) drink it while I am driving. I tend to bring a soda bottle from home and drink it slowly. It would be great if it stayed cold the whole time.

Yeah, I know, who doesn’t have a shelf in a kitchen cupboard dedicated for travel mugs? But for those occasions that you find yourself without an insulated mug, it would be nice. A simple rocker switch was what I was thinking of as well. For those who want cooled maybe that could be tied in with the air conditioning system?

Can you guys stop thinking of things that are going to make my truck more expensive?
And here I was gonna ask for a winter compartment that can heat your gloves while driving so when you get out to go sledding or do winter chores your hands are extra warm. My wife would love that. Could keep your breakfast sandwich from the quick mart warm too 🤣

I’d also like an optional smoker box insert in frunk so you could finish your pork or brisket on the way to game day tailgating. The smoke coming out would confuse people when they see an EV and think your engine compartment is on fire. 😀

You know, it just occurred to me, a heated cup holder would be nice.
And cooled, some Jeep or Ram product that a cooler hold years ago, I didn't own it but thought it sounded cool. It had like a stainless steel looking bottom that could heat or cool and used red or blue to indicate which one.

Tom Moloughney from State of Charge actually did something like this on a “Race” from NJ to FL in his F150 Lightning. He plugged in a portable pizza oven sitting on the console between him and his passenger and cooked pizza while they were driving. Apparently it did look a little bit like they were on fire, and felt like it too.🤣

That’s awesome. I was going to say pizza originally but thought it wouldn’t fit in the frunk. Never considered inside the cab

Pssh, pizza. Where’s the espresso maker? I want to make rich, creamy froth for my latte while driving on the most private of New Hampshire roads (which is to say full of pot holes). No vision.
I’ll stick with McD’s so if it spills in my lap I’m covered. But you enjoy your pretentious Italian coffee beverage 🤣
