Ya 41k is laughable.Yeah like they compare it to a Kei Truck but those are only $800-$1,500 USD. But I’m sure either because of the small production and Electrical Engineering.

yeah, especially when they keep comparing it to the Mini Cooper Ev in every picture of comparison and when asked. The Mini electric 2 door only costs 31k and the gas option cost 28k. now yes I'm sure it's due to the small production that it will be and that they are ground up, with small funds.Ya 41k is laughable.
Please Oliver Blume better say I have no control on what they do they are separate from us. they make their on decisions.NADA urges VW Group to revisit Scout’s direct-sales plan in letter*

They are being cheaped out on in the industry. There has been a lot of talk recently about the 12V battery. It seems this is a big consumer issue in both gas and EV vehicles.

That is for sure, Those greedy dealers in December of last year tacked on $35k to the price of the ID.Buzz, Unbelievable.Dealers are just mad that they won’t be able to jack the price up well over msrp and rip people off. I think most manufacturers are still mad over the prices during covid. It looks bad on the brand when your dealers are ripping people off.
I guess NADA hasn’t realized that everyone hates stealerships.NADA urges VW Group to revisit Scout’s direct-sales plan in letter*

I replace mine about every 80K miles. Current EV at 40K miles. I think some folks (gas more than EV) replace the 12V with the cheapest thing they can find at Autozone…not really looking at specs. Connections aren’t on tight and sometimes battery hold down isn’t put back in place. Modern cars have so many accessories and computer chips that always need power unlike a car in the 60s…doesn’t surprise me we don’t get the same mileage out of them. There has been a lot of talk recently about the 12V battery. In my BMW Group Cars, I run the Lithium Ion which last forever lol. And my friends Chevy I made her use a Marine Lithium Battery By Lithium Hub which is holding up.I replace mine about every 80K miles. Current EV at 40K miles. The company I work for gave me a new Prius Prime plug in hybrid a few months ago. The 12V battery goes dead if I don't drive the car every 3-4 days. Pretty much have to jump start it every time I drive it.There has been a lot of talk recently about the 12V battery. It seems this is a big consumer issue in both gas and EV vehicles.
What is this the Mafia? Lol.If you want an interesting read and want to dig a bit start looking into vehicle dealership franchise laws. It really doesn’t take much to extend dealership franchises. Imagine this:
SM/VWAG contracts an employee as a Scout ambassador and pays them $30K a year and contractually allows them to “moonlight”. Part of their employment contract is signing an ethics clause both at SM as ambassador and future Ducati franchise dealer. Said employees then “open” Ducati dealership franchises as a moonlight gig (via franchise laws) maybe with backing from Ducati (via VWAG) and sell “motorcycles”. Then SM announces a partnership with Ducati as their dealer of choice because Scout is about adventure as is Ducati. Now there are dealerships strategically placed around the country to sell Scouts by ambassadors. And the ethics clause keeps them from turning dirty.
That’s really weird. I’m thinking something isn’t right with the battery if it’s losing juice so quickly. The company I work for gave me a new Prius Prime plug in hybrid a few months ago. 1,800 miles on the car. No, I didn't forget a zero.
