I'd like to see the USA data. China and Norway are going to skew those numbers.Popped up on Facebook
Fair enough but there continues to be data that EV growth is happening and ICE is in declineI'd like to see the USA data. China and Norway are going to skew those numbers.
To be fair, I don’t think Norway is big enough to skew the numbers. On the other hand, Chinese manufacturers are big enough and successful enough that they’re starting to put serious pressure on older manufacturers. Nissan, probably the number 3 Japanese manufacturer is in dire straits, largely due to its inability to compete with Chinese car companies. VW is also suffering from its difficulty trying to compete in chinas huge market. Even if we completely cut off China from the American market, every manufacturer is going to be competing with China on the international scene. If we don’t figure out how to build and sell EVs efficiently and effectively, then American manufacturers will be reduced to a niche market, if they survive at all.I'd like to see the USA data. It seems that Ford knows this. Their CEO said they are going to focus (no pun intended) on smaller and more affordable EVs. He is enamored with the Xiaomi SU7 and how good he says it is. I'd like to think that VW knows this issue as well by building something people want for the US market. To be fair, I don’t think Norway is big enough to skew the numbers. That was a SPECTACULAR interview. SM needs to get permission to share that and post under their stories page because I have a whole new respect for Chris. Having gone through architecture school I can relate to a lot of Chris’s early life but wow, just a great way to share the talent that SM has on their team. One of my favorite auto news channels did a nice long interview with Chris Benjamin.
Don't think I had heard this sort of feature mentioned anywhere until this interview: "...here's your underbody camera..."Scouts Shaheen Karimian on Batteries Included Podcast.
At the timestamp where he joins in. Lot Q&A discussions.
Mentions using real mechanical door handles. Which was nice to see. A fair bit of EREV discussion (but no new hard details):
