Super Bowl Commercial?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I believe there is a strategic place for SuperBowl ads, but that timing is super important for the brand - especially with the level of required investment.

I like that Scout is targeting this NFL Season, given the reveal timing (AND based on Scout's target audience and the NFL's massive reach ). I also love the ad, and that they have created a multi-generational link between old and new Scout, and that viewer's can go off and do some homework on Scout after watching it.

It might be me, but the rampant shotgunning of ads from all the OEM's potentially "cheapens" the brand to me. There's something about ad scarcity that makes you pay more attention. If I see another Toyota commercial advertising "buy 3 tires, get the 4th free" I grab the FOAM BRICK and throw it at the TV.

Funny you should say that: I specifically didn’t want to ever, ever, EVER get a Toyota for that reason. It took a lot of convincing to get me to go look at a Prius because I wanted them to have zero of my dollars. Ever. Then I was hoodwinked.

Stupid over-engineered cars that last 500,000,000 miles with routine maintenance, be less enticing. 😤

A documentary would be incredible, so many opportunities to explorer here with the rich traditional the legacy members have kept alive. From first Scout to 1st last Scout in 1980? Sean Barbers Baja truck, Factory in Fort Wayne, IH events (Nationals, Harvester in the Holler, Harvester Homecoming), Design team, factory build, reveal, etc.......
SM has already begun this story-they just haven’t mainstreamed it. So far it’s Scout enthusiasts or EV enthusiasts. The in between world probably doesn’t even know of SM

...And I have owned 4 toyota trucks and 1 4-Runner. Can't disagree with that. Toyota's conflicted and paralyzed state (considering they were so far advanced with Hybrid technology) then their wallowing and backpedaling and bending over for the O&G lobby in Japan killed the brand for me. Sorry to use them as a scapegoat for my OEM comment.

If they hadn't wiffed so hard on their early advantage, a bunch of us would probably be driving EV Tacoma 4X4's with a bunch of Scout features and 350 miles or range right now.

Just more opportunity for the Terra, and more opportunity to support a US-based company!

Oh, I completely agree: they had the innovation ball and they fumbled it. The Prius was this great thing and instead of building on that success, they just reworked it a little and instead of getting EVs that are as innovative as the Prius, we got the BZ4X/Subaru Solterra. I expected more. Maybe they’re working on something that will yet recapture the hearts and minds of the world at large, but for now 🥱.

Hmm…apparently I need to find some foam and make my own brick. Thank you for the tip.
