I propose a little madness but a very big challenge for Scout and fans, considering the evolution of this model, with cutting-edge technology: the hood should be tilted.
Reasons:
-increased aerodynamics,
-lower consumption
-better performance
-the effects are reduced in the unfortunate event of frontal impacts
-no one can dance on the hood
-it does not significantly reduce storage space
-slight modification of the body shape, because there is empty space under the hood, the part between the headlight grille and the bumper can disappear without functional complications
-the tilted hood could only be on the Traveler model, and on the Terra it should remain in the initial version; thus the two models will be distinct both from the back and from the front, different models for nostalgics and for those with modern views.
According to the sketch in the picture, made by me in a rudimentary way, the painted part between the headlight grille and the front bumper disappears, thus the hood tilts, it goes down together with the headlights and the grille between them.
The relaunched Scout is a futuristic and technologically advanced model, it deserves a little aerodynamics on the Traveler version!
I don't have the possibility to simulate on the computer what the car would look like with this tilted hood, but maybe the suggestion is worth considering.
PS: Scout is a tall car, with a high floor, which is very good. That's why I think rock sliders should also act as steps, so it should be a compromise, have a lower position when accessing in/out of the car, and when driving stay up, to protect the car at the same time. If they were movable, lowered when the doors are open and raised when they are closed, it would be optimal.
PPS: If there is enough space, the spare wheel can be stored under the front hood, when not much storage space is needed. There is space left inside the rim and various items can be stored, possibly in a sizeable container. For travel, it can be moved to the back, outside the car.
