Square fenders instead of rounded

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Having seen it in person the sweep is very nice and pays perfect homage to the earlier scout. Maybe as an aftermarket item for you and folks who like that look but in person the arches were nearly flawless
I like the way Scout has designed them.

I don’t like square fender flares. They look terrible

The rounded flares look perfect to me. The only thing I don't like are the headlights.

Please no fender flares. Design it so that decent width tires fit inside the body. They are required (IMO) on the newer Broncos because any tire that would be respectable on the trail hangs outside the body. Looking at the prototypes, I don't see a need, and adding them would clutter the clean design.

The tires on the prototype, coupled with the drive line you've described will handle VERY aggressive trails. For those who have bumped their heads a few too many times and love to rock crawl or fly through mud holes, they can install farm implement tires with custom flares to match.

As far as the shape of the wheel wells (if that's a thing), for sure round like they are currently designed. The picture of the Chevy Truck scares me.

Opinions are like....... noses. Everybody has one. But I love the headlights. I know there is talk about how they should be round. But I think that is a bit too retro. The current design does a great job of hinting at the Scout heritage while still looking sleek, unique and modern. And it is amazing how the center of the lights flows through the side marker. Brilliant!

I would make the back end a little bit more retro. I don't think the tail lights are quite right. Maybe use the old-school shape and have the center of it run through the side marker? But that breaks up the awesome line that runs around the Scout. (Hmmmmm....)

I'm sure glad there are creative people working on this project! I still think that without a single change to the body styling, it's a home run!

UPDATED: I went back and looked at the tail lights. You did try to keep the old style. Could the vehicle be available without the tailgate insert? So the tailgate would not look so much like every other SUV out there. Just a thought.
