Rear AC in the roof

Im hoping in both Terra and Traveler (especially Terra since that’s what I ordered!) there could be ac vents in the roof for the rear seats. This gives way better cooling for rear passengers and especially those of us that have dogs in the rear seats. I know some will have the cabana top but maybe either have it in the roof for those without that option or if there’s a way to still have it up in the frame area above the rear doors if not.

Not having vents in the back row in my 4 door Wrangler is annoyingly frustrating.

I created a suggestion with a similar request for the rear cargo area in the traveler. I’ve got three large dogs and they go in the cargo area, not the rear seats. Would love to have overhead vents for the rear areas with the steel roof option.

If you look at the images, vents are located in the rear in the middle console, not in the roof.

I feel vents in this location (my current car has similar) never full hit the rear seat area as well as roof vents do, especially towards your face. Also, if you have a dog seat cover, it blocks it even more.

Great shot. My guess is the structural support frame on edges along with glass or cabana large openings will be difficult to achieve even though I support the idea

I agree that overhead vents work better than the center vents. There could be enough space in the B/C pillars to allow vents up to the roof, and not have it interfere with the cabana/glass roof.

Alternatively, you could potentially use the B pillars (behind the drivers seatbelts) to put some vents, in addition to the rear center ones, and that would give you pretty good coverage as well.

I like this idea with one caveat. Most vehicles I have been in that have roof vents make the interior roof too low. Maybe not most, but many. My current vehicle has them in the B pillar and they work very well.

Relocating the vents to the B pillar is the best solution.

For anybody with kids in a car seat (especially rear facing), vents in the ceiling is a must.
