Most Improbable or Impossible Scout Motors Special Edition?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Honestly I’m relieved to see someone disagree!!!

I agree, it makes sense, and I’m hopeful…. I just haven’t seen anything out of their mouths or even on this forum (still searching) that would make me think it’s even a thought in their minds.

Maybe that’s just because they haven’t even launched yet and it’s not really a thought, but hopefully the TM shows they’ve at least got it in their back pocket and it’s a possibility?
Perhaps there's a hidden messages why SM sponsored Sean Barber in the Baja 1000

My first thought was that Reaper was an alternate name for what ended up being the Harvester, but Reaper is a little wasted on the name of a range extender. Reaper has more gravitas than Harvester. 🤔 I almost feel like it’s lost on a sport-tuned model, honestly. Something called the Reaper is what I expect Nancy from the movie The Craft to be driving, or it belongs to Eric Draven from The Crow. It comes to you guaranteed cleansed with a cedar bundle (included) plus a deck of tarot cards and a piece of black tourmaline for protection while you drive. It has custom protective sigils in the leather instead of plaid and there is an optional exterior graphic of the ferryman Charon on the river Styx. Aging goths who work as chefs and web developers drive them during the week and run around on the weekends doing whatever.

I agree.... Terra Reaper it is....

But maybe a.....

I have always thought that it was more classy to have a "performance edition" be a bit more subtle and understated, then let the owner do what they want with any additional mods. Once you start adding hood scoops, badges, special lights, odd oversized fenders and big stickers, you lose me. In an EV with that cosmetic stuff, you will also loose performance and range. Just my 02 cents though!

Good news is that Scout is headed down a path of differentiation and seems willing to enable more work by the owner and more modularity with things like bumpers and suspension, but time will tell.

As a designer in a different field I feel exactly the same way. Even things like pin stripes. If the designers thought it made a vehicle better they would add them themselves or at least create a render showing them as something they considered even if not offered. The clean simple lines of the bodies and the accessories is why I’ll stick with SM designed parts for any customization I might do.
You don’t by an artist’s painting then get home and add your own touches!

Yes, definitely no need to cover a Picasso Scout with "paint by numbers" touches...

This is why I am a fan of BMW ///M vehicles, especially the older models. They were very understated.
