Girl Scout Cookies

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Hear me out, Scout Motors should Partner with their local Girl Scout Troop, and for each Scout that rolls off the line a box of cookies is included. Or when papers are done being signed you get to pick out a Cookie of your choice. So not only is there a snack for the road, but it’s also helping the local troop. Im sure the troop could probably do a whole sale type thing for them.

    Just an Idea

Love the idea. Not a fan of the cookies but it’s a great idea. Also use it to promote women in STE(A)M careers

And it will help out reach to the women market, since we know the old scouts suffered from not appealing or marketing to them.
Woman here. I have a son who is an Eagle Scout and Boy Scouts is coed now. Boy Scouts sell popcorn. Can’t tell you how many stores I stood in front of with him selling popcorn. We should get a box of Girl Scout Cookies and a bag of Boy Scout Caramel corn for the trip home in our new Scouts.

Not only would it give Scout Motors a good reputation for helping the community, but it will also help the Troops with funding for other things and projects.

So are boy scouts still a thing? Or is it just Scouting of America?

For sure. Those high adventure trips are expensive. I call it Boy Scouts because that’s what it was when my son was involved but I’m sure it’s a different name now that it’s coed.

I’m always gonna call it Boy Scouts, even though it was renamed to Scouting America.

I think SM should go one further and utilize their property/grounds to offer other badge related events. “Scouts for Scouts”. Is there still a Scout Jamboree? That would piss off the hard core Jeepers 😀
I would have loved that as a Scout mom. Those were the kind of events the parents loved to go to.

A Scout could earn an Automotive Maintenance Badge, an EV Badge, & a Scout Scout Badge?
That would be amazing. When my son was a Scout one of the coolest things he did when he was 10 was go to sniper training with the local police officers at their range. The kids even got to shoot the 308 sniper rifles. And they had fully automatic AK-47s that someone had turned in and the parents got to shoot those at the range. First gun I ever shot was that AK-47. Crazy.

I'm not so sure Scout motors wants to be directly connected to the "organization"... I thought they had a big scandal and went bankrupt!
Girl Scouts did have a settlement on how the cookies aren’t safe, but then in Court the FDA approved them. And Girl Scouts upped the dues for members.

Now the Boy Scouts, they did go Bankrupt. And had a sexual abuse case started from victims

I know it’s just terrible all around a few bad apples ruin it for everyone. My son had a great scouting experience and it helped him in his life so much and now he’s a successful ICU nurse. But I completely understand the negatives associated with it now.

I was a Scout too when I was a kid. It was basically an extension of our town baseball team with dads leading pine box derby, fishing trips and an annual camping outing. It was fun when we were young (elementary age) then we all sort of aged-out for other things.

Unfortunately, and likely also b/c of the "volunteer" nature of the organization, there were thousands of lawsuits filed. I can't imagine they did any background checks or due diligence, but really have no knowledge on the subject, other than "there were more than a few bad apples" I guess.

I’m a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts (my mom used to work for them and signed me up before they discontinued that as an option) and there was an event recently where basic auto maintenance was taught (I didn’t go). I wish stuff like that had been around when I was younger, but it’s because of the Girl Scouts that I got to try out stuff like winter camping. I do think it would be neat if there was some sort of opportunity for kids to earn badges (there are a zillion STEM badges for GSUSA, I don’t know about the other scout org, but I’d guess so?) in cooperation with Scout Motors. It could easily be with anyone, but there’s some shared stated interest in being good stewards of the planet and whatnot. 🤷‍♀️ Worse things could be done. I’m sure it’s been discussed already. It doesn’t even have to be a scouting thing so much as a “your youth group can come do these kinds of activities with a person who knows how to do programming/outreach stuff designed for kids and young adults.”
