  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

My husband and I were so excited to see the new Scout! We were pretty disappointed to see that it didn’t have a retro look, but did look very similar to a Rivian. Round headlights and a more retro grill would go a long way to recapture that retro Scout look and distinguish it from the Rivian.

Since you’ve posted multiple locations I’m just cutting and pasting my same response.
As noted in other threads, multiple times but hey, another thread works-I guess.
It was noted early on that the new Scouts were to be evolution design-not nostalgia design. Year one I was on board completely with round headlights and softened rectangular bezels (even posted drawings if you go way back). Seeing the evolution and vehicles in person at reveal I think the design is awesome.
Ironically the new Toyota Land Cruiser (in my opinion) looks WAY better with the modern rectangular headlights than round. And just to add-I owned and abandoned a 2023 Bronco and loved the round headlight design.
Imagine having LC, Bronco,Jeep and Scout all with round headlights (and don’t forget MB-G wagon and LR defender). Would be bland. And as noted earlier the headlights if rotated have a slight nod to original iH logo.
Ultimately everyone gets an opinion but as good as it looked in person I will continue to vote to keep them-I don’t want an awesome vehicle like the Traveler to look like or be confused for one of the other 5 round lighted suv’s

Although I like the idea of retro round headlights, I agree that the LandCruiser looks better with the rectangular lights. I also think round headlights would make it look more, not less, like the Rivian. Design needs more work but I’m not sure about round.

So sorry that I posted in multiple locations. I don’t use a lot of forums, my bad.

No problem. Many of us are new to it as was I. This is first forum I’ve ever participated in. Just know that Jamie and SM team looks at everything so your input is important. Over past few years I’ve learned if we keep topics/threads to main topics it’s easier to find, follow along and look back on. Going one place to find everyone’s responses is easier than three places. Over time I think SM team consolidates as well so just trying to make it simpler but I always appreciate seeing everyone’s thoughts and efforts expressed to help make the Scouts the best they can be.
Happy Thanksgiving!
