December 2024 Production Center Update

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Stalker alert! Had the chance to drive by today and check the place out from afar. It does exist! Cool to see the Red House in person...

I always say “you haven’t lived until you have had a stalker”. Had a coworker for a short period that drove by my house everyday then told me the following day and described whatever they saw. Bit creepy 🤣
That said-great pic. Bet you wished you had a drone to let loose

Are the sights and house readily accessible for drive-by? Via Locklier Rd.? We'll pass nearby during spring break road trip, thinking photo opp w/ kids for comparison @ vehicle delivery when the time comes, etc.

I've just booked an overnight at the nearby Home2 Suites for some delightful accommodation before/after we stalk the Scout site as a family. Then on to Savannah afterwards.

I wonder if the street was named for the Air Force base? Very cool if so. More likely coincidence, though.

Best views I saw were from Blythewood Road... maybe 77 too but I didn't get that perspective on my route. You can get some intermittent views through the trees and down the power line swath from Fulmer but not worth driving over there IMO. See the picture... there is a place on Google Maps that shows it near a neighborhood but it's not accurate. Stick to N/NW and you can see a good bit at your leisure.

Even on a Sunday in South Carolina there were a few construction trucks rolling around.

Jamie can correct me but if I was reporting completion percentage I'd go 15-20% lol

Great work! Clearly you missed your calling as a geospatial analyst. Below is closeup w/ red house & loop driveway.

The posh Home2 Suites is just below the lower-left corner of the Hardee's icon in above image. I've just told wife that I've altered the deal for family's spring break road trip to stop here overnight. She's praying I don't alter it any further.
