1978 Scout II Rallye
Tell us about your Scout:
Rallye 345 Auto, Terra Cotta with parchment interior. Has spring over axle conversion, long travel shocks and high steer mod. The factory a/c compressor has been repurposed to an air compressor with a tank under the rear floor. 17” wheels with 37” tires. Everything else is basically stock. Originally a California truck with minimal rust currently getting any rust addressed and restored in original Terra Cotta and white Rallye stripes.
This is my 3rd Scout. First was a 1965 with the 152 4 cyl. that I got in 1994. It was originally a Civil Defense vehicle, kind of a mint green. It threw a rod (but still ran on 3 cylinders) so I sold it and got a 1977 Scout II. The ‘77 was a 345 with 4sp. It was a blast but it was a rust bucket Florida truck.
