This is an original, unrestored survivor 1980 Scout TurboDiesel that is semi-retired in Iowa.
Tell us about your Scout:
This particular Scout is the one that started my obsession for these magnificent machines.
This Scout was purchased by me in Mesa, Arizona in 1987.
I flew down there using a one-way ticket, so I was committed to bring it back to Iowa.
It had 46K miles at the time, and was in fair shape for a 7-year old vehicle.
It now has about 173K miles, and has been to many Scout shows from Ohio to Minnesota to Colorado.
It's still very original and untouched, still a good-running, driving Scout.
It was made about 6 weeks before the Assembly line came to a stop in Fort Wayne.
Enjoy the picture.
