Woodbine Green with White and Gray Striping
Tell us about your Scout:
Started off as a project for my workaholic bachelor uncle who was an IH mechanic for many years but had no body work experience. This Scout was his when he worked up at IH dealership in the late 70's and early 80's. It had been sitting in our old Hog barn for many years until he moved to town. He taught himself body work at the age of 78 and had it pieced and held together with bolts starting to spot weld when he found out he had late stage colon cancer. He passed away shortly after that. Later that winter, a friend who has semi-retired from the body shop business took it upon himself to take the project over and finished up the welding, and as you can see now has it all painted with the stripes on it. We still have to finish up the bumpers and get the seats put back in more securely but it has seen the streets for the first time in many years!
Update--The Scout is on it's way back up to get finished...Hoping by the time spring / summer rolls around here in Argyle we'll be driving. I'll post updated picture when it's done!
