  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout EV - Interior Inspiration (Compilation)

While i understand and agree with your ideas that old cars were more minimalistic and rugged. But realistically the reason those interiors were like that was not due to the design philosophy but rather the limitations of technology of the time. In the 70s they used inferior manufacturing process...

    Ev or not to Ev

I’m going to give you the real insight on why this vehicle is going to be an ev. It has nothing to do with government and it has nothing to do with policy or political correctness or some crazy cordless drill adjenda….the simple answer is money. If you really look at how long development takes...

    Generator

charging an EV off of a generator is completely possible, however it will be similar to charging at a regular 110v home outlet which would only give you 2-5 miles of range per hour of charging, unless you are able to get a really high output generator (which are usually large) it will not be...

    What If?

I came across this video which really explains why wind or other energy capture devices wouldn't work.

Scout EV - Plug-n-Play interface (Infotainment Idea)

I think recent experience has proved that automanufacturers are not software developers. Specifically looking at VW's ID platform the software systems are not fantastic. I think leaving the "Apps" and other infotainment software development to google and apple in the Apple carplay/android auto...

Having a dash cam / sentry mode has been so great. I got my door dinged once and i was able to see the lady who did it along with her lisence plate. also i've caught other things like when i almost got rear ended by two cars. If you ever go on youtube you need to check out the youtube channels...

    Battery Range Solution

The cold weather range problem can be partially attributed to it not having a heat pump PLEASE GIVE THE SCOUT A HEAT PUMP!!!!

Should Scout adopt the NACS (Tesla) charging system

For anything the US was headed towards the CCS1 standard which isn’t compatible with CCS2 in EU…..so just like metric and freedom units the US has to be unique

Please make sure 1st edition vehicles work

I really like the word "Vanguard" because it is also used often in the military as the small group who goes first to establish a presence. I know scouts arn't military per se but since I was an army officer it speaks to me more......that is my two cents.

Scout EV - Interior Inspiration (Compilation)

I agree the floating screens aren't great, and the long continuous screen looks nice but i assumed it would look too Techie or futuristic for the scout and from all the pushback everybody seems to have against screens in general. I also have not seen too many good integrations of a screen into a...

Scout EV - Interior Inspiration (Compilation)

I know I've been "that guy" when it comes to interiors and buttons....so in this thread of inspiration i wanted to share a modern vehicle that I really like and think it offers a GREAT balance between Simplicity, buttons, and screens so i will toss this one picture of the current Ford Escape

Please make sure 1st edition vehicles work

I came across this video the other day and I wanted to bring it up to this forum to make sure it is taken into consideration especially considering there is a common person in all of this: current Scout CEO and former VW America CEO during the VW ID4 Launch... The main problem outlined in the...

Is there or should we create a Scout wave?

If there is a wave it will likely be just a wave. realistically if you put too many conditions on it then people might not see it as they pass eachother on the road going 80mph.... I know it won't be official but once i get my scout i will wave at any other scout i see.
