  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout concept 12-23

While it looks good to me, SM has already indicated that it will be not offered as a 2-dr.

Scout Applies to Trademark 29 Names

Scout recently applied for trademark on 29 names. While many of the names can be tied to Scout's history, some are new and may portend to be future model/trims. A Scout Cultivator sounds pretty cool, but the one that jumps out is the Reaper. I only expect that to be a completely murdered out Scout.

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

I get the design constraints, but it seems by the answer by you and Chris that 2-dr is just wishlist item and not a fundamental design consideration. I don't see how only designing for a 4-dr plays to the heritage that you Scout Motors speaks of. Seems like the designers should be trying to...

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

Thank you for being upfront. I have no interest in a LWB Moar Door SUV. Hopefully, the design team is still open to a 2-dr SWB. Otherwise all the talk of Scout Motors being cognizant of the Scout heritage is just lip service.

Anyway to turn off this animation? It is actually causing my eyes to twitch.

    Second Scout Teaser Image Released

Start with the positive - Clearance! Looks great. I'm not smart enough to know about the mechanics of EV vehicles. But there are no lower control arms, differentials, axles visible. Negative - Hate the integrated roof rail. Reminds me too much of the crossovers that clutter up the...

    Order reservations

I'm not sure how a company could give such preference legally. Are they going to open up reservations with proof of vehicle registration showing current owners? What about the owner that has it sitting in their barn for the past 20 years? Maybe there are diehard owners that no longer has one...

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

One aspect that hasn't been mentioned so far is that the platform needs to body on frame (BOF) vs. unibody.

    Scout Design Ideas

Please offer a a 2 door version. The automotive world has plenty of moar doors. And don't do what GM did to the Blazer.
