What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
If you at photos posted the charge port is just below the side marker light and when lid is lifted the marker light still provides light. No need to worry about this. Once you see the photos you’ll understand it 😀

1. Heater elements on the headlights: LED don't get hot enough to melt know (part of a cold weather package)
2. A spot light for the ground and charge port area. Many charger locations are dark.
3. Charge port on both sides (nice to have, but not a deal killer. Other wise front left or driver rear (or both).
4. Sliding adjustable tie downs on the bed rail
5. heated front window (part of cold weather package)
6. Ability to view history or charging and usage (like tesla), preconditioning,

I would love to see some fixed/solid recovery points. Fallen down the off road recovery YouTube rabbit whole and that seems to be a common complaint in many vehicles. Seems extra critical to large BEV like these.

Though the video is not the best, here is a cool feature on Rivian that hopefully makes its way into glass roof world:

I was looking at this window technology 10 years ago as we were debating adding onto our old house and putting a window in the shower with this auto privacy option. Would be neat if you could select a colour that it tints it to. Either way, cool tech.

We have had discussions about this and directly with Jamie at the reveal event. As of now, due to cost it doesn’t seem likely but that said, they have looked into it.

I’m going to list them all, in no particular order:

Full Adaptive Driving Beams (not USA crippled version).
Dashcams, 4 k with sound
Parking mode (‘Sentry Mode’).
‘Live ‘ Dashcams accessed from anywhere with two way communication.
Midgate truck with auto down window integrated rather than the 14 steps required for the GM version.
SUV with roll down rear (but still a wiper blade).
Rear wiper on SUV up under spoiler, not down at window base. Once window starts down, wiper stays locked under spoiler.
Photochromic Pano or shade.
Keep bright exterior colors and interiors. You can get any interior color in a GM EV truck, as long as it’s black (or dark grey). You can get any exterior color as long as it’s black or white. Not good and rollout of other colors too slow.
CarPlay including new dash version option.
Camp mode while locked. Pet mode while locked.
Rear wheel steer.
Photochromic all windows ( except windshield).
NACS at passenger rear. Second choice driver rear. Front is a problem parking in garage at home for most people.
Inductive charging.
HUD a must.
Apple Watch automatic lock/unlock, if no phone near. Carabiner as key fob.
Auto start on enter and touch brake. No start button.
Lined bed with auto tonneau cover.
Trailer side mirrors as option.
Rear camera in rear view mirror option.
Auto open garage door on approach and close when leave but physical button options.
Bumper steps like GM.
5Amp USB C charging port or two in mirror electronic housing for radar detector. Could use for Dashcam too and usb input to rear pass through for rear Dashcam if no integrated Dashcams in the vehicles. Or, as an ‘option’ from Scout Motors.
Work with Blendmount for seemless radar detector mounts.
Parking Dashcam mode that lasts 14 days in airport parking when traveling on vacation. Easy SSD HDD storage of footage.
NEMA 14-50 plug in bed.
Bidirectional integrated home / battery / solar

I’m not asking for much! 🫨🤔🤤

But which is your “one” choice 🤣

The VW ID.Buzz offers it. Perhaps it will be a future option. Cadillac offers a version in the Celestiq with 4 individually controllable sections for the passengers--pretty cool!

Thanks for the reply. I just cringe when I see all the videos of people putting ‘sun shades’ to block out glass roofs. Seems a little ridiculous to put ‘pop up’ sun shades on your roof interior……like a sunshade for a child in the back seat.

For the traveler SUV I would like to be able to fold the seats down and fit two mountain bikes inside with front wheels removed. On my Scout II and Jeep grand Cherokee (ZJ) I was able to do this with lots of space, though I had to lower the seats too. I had fork mounts on a board laying on floor to keep bikes upright and secure. Something that did the same from the factory would be great. @Scout Motor Co dm me if you want a sketch or mountain bike dimensions.
