So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debate is welcomed and often produces great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Well said! My dad owned 3 Scouts. He loved them because they were simple, plain, barebones workhorses. Not to mention affordable (unlike the new Bronco). Scouts were easy to work on and repair. Not common with today's vehicles.
It would be lovely if the new Scout offered a barebones version which could launch pad the 'affordable' EV market. Imagine all the local aftermarket customization shops that could help blossom a thriving community.
The Base bronco with the Sasquatch package is only about 35k and broncos are very easy to work on compared to most modern vehicles. If you want to gripe about the cost of parts for them, I won’t disagree.

Scout Terra idea!
I have no interest in a pick up but this might be your best design yet. Hoping others interested in a pick up like this as much as I do. Great design- Keep up the great work.
I need to find time to start pulling my architectural ideas together-you’ve inspired me to get my pens and markers out again and would be fun to throw Scout ideas together to inspire the Scout post charging areas

Is this real, or a Unicorn like the Cybertruck?

So, the Scout Website doesn’t tell you nothing?

The VW site has absolutely nothing on Scouts?

This forum is run by the administrators at Scout so it’s not a figment of your imagination 😀. But if it were a unicorn it would be a rainbow unicorn with gold feathered wings.

This is a project in development. It is real and it might come to the market around the same time as the cyber truck lol.

The website doesn't say anything yet because the company barely has minimal staff and is still hiring.....so in ways of real information that is ready for the public we are likely quite a few months away from all of that.

It looks terrific and I like that it's the non-pickup clearly has the Scout profile. Although the windows and top need to be raised.

The key thing is this forum is official. The teaser images are official. However, anything posted by @mwmassie is their own work and not official.

We all appreciate their work though, as it's fun as hell.

As others have said, we are real. 🍺

There is very little on the website so far because production won't happen till 2026 and concepts haven't been shown yet. This year (2023) will be the longest waiting period. We will announce our factory location in the next couple months. We will also have our technical platform to talk about later in the year where we can get into the chassis, motors, batteries and the unique Scout setup. It is looking like our concepts will be shown early first half of 2024 so the wait till production isn't quite so painful. As always things are subject to change, but there is a LOT going on our end.

The VW site won't have anything on Scouts as Scout Motors is a completely separate company.

That is all good information and I am sure we all appreciate it.

Read a post on the Bronco6G forum regarding grab handles and realized getting in my daughter’s Bronco that the grab handles are definitely poorly located. If the design team can integrate it into the A pillar and work the airbag around it that would be awesome. The one on the end of the dash is essentially useless in the Bronco. I realize it’s a tough spot between airbag, wiring all working around the toolbar structure. Even if up high at A-pillar/roof connect would be better. Just another suggestion
