  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

So I took a shot at some overlay comparisons. All vehicles shown are 98% accurate. I did a full overlay of a bunch and they are labeled but a bit tough to compare all at once. Also dropped a traveler vs Bronco 4-door and a traveler vs Yukon.
If I have time over next week I can break down some of the others shown if someone has a specific comparison.
I’m not adding more vehicles unless a whole lot of people need to see a specific comparison.
I did not show wrangler as I figure it’s nearly same as Bronco-give or take ?
Hope the visuals help a bit!

One suggestion is to outline each vehicle with different colors making them a little bit easier to see. Or perhaps just a line on the back to show where each one stops. Some of them are a little hard to identify the back of each on in the image with more than 2.

Otherwise it is interesting to see the differences

This is incredibly helpful! I agree with the request to see outlines, but I only see the need for it on the first image (if this was done in Photoshop that’s hella easy to do with the Stroke layer style: it looks a bit janky, but for this purpose, it’s quite convenient).

Yeah-I thought about that so I’ll try to do that. Been playing over lunch breaks so give me a few days. My photoshop skills using the line commands are pretty weak. Maybe I’ll transfer into Autocad and then I can set the dimensions as well so those show up too!

I’ll give that a whirl. I don’t do a lot of line work in photoshop. Sounds like your asking me to email the files so you can add them 🤣

This is great, thanks for creating as I was wondering actual size against known vehicles!

I hate to ask but could you do a Ford Flex version? I would love to see how they compare never mind - I just saw the part about not adding more vehicles! Sorry!

This is helpful. I was surprised by the comparison to the Bronco. If this is accurate I'm very encouraged by the size of the Traveler.

If I have time I’ll try to add. I’ll do it as a direct comparison but not as part of the overall composite layout. Give me a week or so. Can only do at work😀

Have you considered a comparison with the Scout II and the Scout Traveler (the old one)?
No. Wasn’t gonna post something just to stir opposition because it’s larger. We all know it’s larger 😀. Every car today grows in time so figured it isn’t worth posting something that just creates animosity or fuels naysayer’s.
But thanks for the suggestion-someone else can gladly do so if they like.

I think that's wise. I guess I can do that. Just easier if I pawn it off on you! *grin*

Nice exercise. I think the biggest difference between Bronco and Traveler would be width. Traveler is supposed to seat 3 across where the Bronco is pretty narrow inside and only seats 4.

maybe also have the traveler without the tire to show its true size. the spare tire adds 10 or more inches.
