Experience Center locations

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

@codythacker. Being as you seem to be involved with the retail side of things figured I’d “grill” you a bit and give Jamie a break.
I’m assuming at this time SM still can’t say where experience centers will be but started wondering based on a lot of posts.
Part of me thinks the 16 initial centers would be large metros to maximize consumer connections but then I wonder-as Scouts are not the typical small teslas and commuter cars perhaps the push will be more rural/suburban locations for the adventurers. Just wondering if you are able to provide any insight on the strategy SM is using for locations? Would certainly love to see a list of locations but guessing that’s not happening yet.
I’m also assuming SM must already be purchasing land and/or existing retail in preparation of getting buildings started. I guess if we were all motivated we could start researching real estate transactions regionally assuming acquisitions are directly under SM but have a hunch you have a separate LLC for those transactions 😀

I’d be all in for Fort Wayne area. Closer to me than Chicago or Chicago suburbs. I’d have to agree with putting the experience centres away from the downtown cores of larger cities to allow for a better overall experience for customers (I personally don’t want to test drive a new Terra in and around most of metro Chicago and the associated heavy traffic volumes.

I would agree. As I’ve noted, being from Lancaster County PA we are central to Philly, Baltimore, Harrisburg, Delaware and not that far from NY and NJ. Have all the conveniences but still rural and idealistic as a location to experience the vehicles. I think it’s this type of location that could be more appealing, just as @Horsefarmer noted, I don’t want to deal with Philly traffic just because of population density. The mind set of “let’s take a ride to the country” approach would emphasize the lifestyle flexibility of SM. I’d be shocked if tons of buyers in large cities would really desire a large suv anyway-even if it’s an EV and best looking SUV I can think of.

I think Lancaster PA would be perfect for an experience center based on how you've described it! :ROFLMAO:

Western Colorado/Utah would be amazing. So many people travel here for Moab/Lake Powell/CO mountain off-roading and a Scout experience center could be an extra incentive for their trip. I test drove a Rivian in downtown Atlanta and besides going over roughish pavement and speed bumps there was no way to tell how it would handle off-road.

I'd be disappointed if, like Rivian, the obsessive focus on California, early and often. Yes it's the big market and the center of the vehicle universe yadayada...just don't neglect your neighbors down the road :ROFLMAO:...;
Hey! just one center in NorCal would be fine with me, forget SoCal, we have some of the best off roading in the west.

Greater Boston, MA would be swell, but oh no I’d be furious if I had to drive to one of the beautiful other New England states that are not Massachusetts for service. Just furious. (For the non-sarcasm adjacent, I would not be furious).

I’d be interested if any other Rivian buyers got a test drive off road? Do they even offer that? Can only imagine the risk with a small population of stupid people🤣. Would be great but finding locations around the country to do this may prove difficult-especially the East coasr

Definitely but even taking it on a gravel road would be better than just pavement. Test out the air suspension on some washboards 😂
