Audio system

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I see this was posted so won’t start a new thread but also curious what type of system the SUV will have and who is Scout working with-can that be shared at this time?
Had plenty of Acuras with great sound systems and our new Honda Pilot has the premium Bose system and it is very good. Hope the system has plenty of speakers 12 minimum and maybe premium system with 18 or 19 so a killer sub-woofer speaker can be in the rear. Please don’t short change the audio system like Ford did with the Bronco.
I also laughed that we recently purchased a Lexus IS -new and it has a single disc player in the stereo face which blew my mind. Kinda wish the Scout would include one as a bit of a retro touch but also so I can play the 30+ albums I still have sitting in a soft case.

For real retro Scout shoukd come with an 8 track player or at least a cassette player. Way before your time if you refer to albums as those shiny little silver coasters. Why I had some of the first computers with the optional coffee cup holder. Even had the extra large 5.25 inch size

I’m quite familiar with your list 😀-I just don’t own any of those anymore. Early on Acuras could play audio dvds recorded in 3-D surround sound. I had Eagles greatest hits and Metallica. You’d sit in the car, crank it to like 30 and I swear with eyes closed you were sitting in the middle of the stage. Every speaker played different instruments or vocals. That was phenomenal audio for a vehicle-never heard anything as good as that in anything with 4 wheels

We need either a Harman Sound system 7.1 which is so killer even though my countryman has a 7.2 harman sound system that has such a great range.

Or Scout should work with Marshall and create a system for cars since Marshall wasn't done that yet. Which would be great since marshall creates amps and portable speakers.

I work in the audio industry but not car audio. If Scout partner with an audio brand it might be a good idea to choose a brand that reinforces the ‘designed in America’ image.

A car is the perfect environment for an audio system that supports “spatial” Dolby Atmos. Apple have been pushing this technology and artists have embraced it. Apple’s Beats brand would be a good partner because in order for the new Scout to have a bright future it does need to target a younger generation.

Good thoughts. Though I do also have to admit the H/K system in the BMW i4 I rented was fantastic - easily the best car system I've ever heard. On another level. I'm sure there are great domestic options too, and branding is important. Quality audio really makes a difference in your driving experience.

H/K is a great system!

Nice!

Definitely i think scout needs to keep the American roots strong and go with one of the American Sound System Companies. Not one from China or Korea or anywhere else.
I'd say maybe a Canadian company should be considered too but I don't know of any Canadian audio companies. Grado is from the Bronx, New York if I'm not mistaken. Hand built headphones. About as American as you get I think.

Said it in the past, but still like the idea of teaming up with marine grade JL Audio speakers. They sound amazing when sitting on the water, and seem to be a good fit when 4 wheeling with the top down.
Well yeah but wouldn’t it be cool to have a company like Marshall or Grado logo in your Scout. A company that has never work with an auto manufacturer company.

I vote for Kicker Audio. THis is the number one brand of speakers that people use to replace their Jeep/Bronco crappy factory ones. Give them a shot to build a bad A** 10 speaker system for the Scouts. 4 sets of components and 2 subwoofers to really bring some bass to the tunes.

I've heard a lot of garbage Bose systems in vehicles and H&K have been hit and miss. The H&K System in the challenger is almost perfect, same with the MInis. Just something that can play loud and clear and really get some low end rocking.
