1965 Red Carpet Special

My dad bought this Scout in the early 1980's and it was our camping/hunting vehicle as I was growing up in the Rocky Mountains. I have many happy childhood memories of this Scout. It was not all original when we bought it and we did not attempt to restore to original. My uncle called me in 2008 to ask if I wanted it as it had sat behind his shop for 15 years and he otherwise would have taken it to a junk yard. I jumped at the chance! It took 8 years for him to turn it into what it is today, gradually, as I could afford the parts. We matched it to it's original white color but added red accents to match the original red interior. The pattern of the red accents was done in the same fashion as an original scout option for a red scout with white accents. It is custom finished, but it is still the Scout I grew up with and I love it.
